  • Afternoon all! Hope were all well. :o

Been lurking recently as have been a bit pooped after work (v busy at the min!) So apologies for apparent lack of flying! Its mostly been done...just not enough! We've been having a bit of a panic today as we had a letter on friday to say that we have an inspection (lettings agents) on monday. Nice of them to give us plenty of notice! So this afternoon WILL be productive! I can feel it in the ol' waters!

Speaking of, I really should make myself useful and actually do something!

    ttfn! wish me luck!xxx

    Kitchen S&Sed after lasagne made.
    Bathroom has been done today.
Living room changed around dusted and swept.
    Clean washing put away.

Off to do some wrapping while watching tv.

I go to my daughters for Xmas every year. This year she has invited her ex in laws who we still get on well with. Apparently I am cooking the dinner. They are providing the meat. Have warned DD that I dont want anyone hanging over me while doing it. I just dont like cooking in someone elses kitchen.

Jojo What a gorgeous kitten! Would love one but I dont think Jake would like it.

Drumroll please......................... I have done ALL my ironing :j:j:j:j:j got a load drying on the airer but its towels which dont need ironing and will get the last load of darks in shortly, but if i can keep it up i will be chuffed to bits.

not done much today, went to iceland for a wander round as DH had never been to one. he couldnt beleive how much cheaper some bits were than the supermarket so has agreed to go back once a month for a freezer shop.

Re Christmas, we thankfully dont have that drama but may in future so will see what happens. at the moment if DH is home we stay down here for Christmas, if he is away I go to my parents, his parents always go on holiday so cant see that changing. in future it might change with baby being here but i cant see anything wrong with going to my parents for christmas every other year or so depending on how DH's rotation works out. My mum did ask if we were going to go up there this year but it was more to say well ive asked its up to you what you do type of thing. I just cant subject DH to Christmas with my brother as DH will end up walking out as can only just tolerate him for a couple of hours let alone all day!

Seafarers - I know exactly what you mean. We have had C'mas at home every year for the last ten years but the 28 before that I spent with my parents. Even if we have no kitchen we will be sticking to home this year - the first one that will be just me, him and the little ones which will be nice. DS1 maintains the second best part of Christmas is my cooking! Could be *coughs* challenging this year - see the Facebook pictures of my kitchen today......

    Hello all

Been to football and stayed upright - no mean feat considering how windy it was up there *points to the top of the Country Park* DS scored a blinding goal - a classic. Unfortunately it was disallowed. Nevertheless they won *grins* DS got moaned at for falling over. He didn't moan at the blokes who kicked and pushed him ;)
Washed loads of washing. Ironed some more. DS's mate stayed last night and I had to go in and ask them to close the window (honestly! In the middle of the night!) because the doors were banging.
Cooked a lazy lunch (pie, spuds & veg)
had another little sale on fleabay and bids on another item.

The only craft project I have on the go at present is the cross stitch picture of the Belfry in Brugge that I got when we went to Belgium earlier in the year. No way I'll finish it over the weekend (there's a lot still to do, and it's extremely complicated, some of the stitches being of 1 strand each of 2 different colour threads, and many of the crosses being 2 x half-stitches iyswim) but have made a good bit of progress.:o

    Preparing for Christmas Challenges:rudolf:

    Weekend Check your Lights
How does it happen that the lights are working fine when you put them away but mysteriously are no longer working when you get them back out 11 months later? Check all your Christmas lights this weekend and spend many a frustrating hour moving the bulbs around the string to ascertain which ones are faulty. A job to delegate if ever there was one!

*smiles sweetly* We haven't got any.:D

Grateful happy belated birthday - I was up to my ears with stuff yesterday, and didn't have time to get onto MSE. :o

In fact, yesterday Mr LW helped me to write a letter to the rheumy, detailing how I'm suffering since she withdrew my Plaquenil. I don't suppose it'll make a hap'orth of difference, but as Mr LW says, if I keep quiet and don't make any fuss, she'll assume all is OK.

Seafarer's Well done on clearing all your ironing *fanfare*:D

Ooh - family spats at Xmas.... I'm glad I don't have to deal with all that.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
