Valli - I though it was just a typo as she had sold ther others at £4.99 - I didn't realise such tactics existed. You've done great with the flying
Polly - hope you feel better soon x
Boots and shoes all cleaned, kitchen tidied.
Going to list a couple of bits on ebay and then see if I can order a couple of presents on line. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
have topped up the washer bottle (50% mix in case it gets chilly) and cleaned the lounge. So that's the house done.
I had no clue about those tactics either! When I have items to sell I like to do a bit of reserach hence I came across it!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
ajmoney - you want Mrs Chaos for the Christmas customs, perhaps PM her?
Thanks I will do that in a bit. Told DH my plan for Christmas meals and he was so happy, isn't it funny that the smallest things can brighten someone's dayand we both get to indulge our traditions.
We have been very busy today with Operation Christmas. We sat with a rough present list first thing that had a few blanks and made a shopping list for Christmas baking items. It took us 5 hours but we have got all the cards, most of the presents, a new tree and decorations to go in our new house, all the baking stuff and quite a bit of food for Christmas. I am about to look and source the few bits we couldn't get and will see if I can do that tomorrow although I am at work in the afternoon so may not be easy. Also going to do a wrapping paper amnesty to see what we need to get.
If people don't mind frozen meat L!dl has some great offers and we have stocked up. An expensive bill but we have goose, duck, partridge, prawns, sea bass, loads of German based goodies and plenty of other sruff. Now all I have to do is learn how to cook some of it!
Here is my list for the rest of the weekend.
Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstair loo
Level 3
Clean the mantel or coffee table, re home things that don’t belong here
Wednesday – Study or kids rooms – doesn’t apply to you then clean some windows I'm substituting the music room
Declutter misson:
Despite the promises decades ago that we were heading for a paperless world it doesn’t seem to have arrived! Today declutter paperwork, from files, intrays, magazines etc. Do you still have the receipts from last Christmas stuffed in a drawer? Leaflets for places you will never visit; recipes you will never make get rid of it all.
Friday - Master Bedroom and Landing
Level 2
15 minutes of exercise or meditation, or just pondering
Level 3
Finish any outstanding jobs on your lists
Personal Challenges
Monday Pollyanna Day DONE
Tuesday Go outside Day DONE
Wednesday Health Check ALL DONE
Thursday Feet glorious Feet
Feet work so hard and so unloved. Today exercise yours. How high can you lift your toes? Can you lift individual toes? Keeping your feet on the floor try to move your big toes towards each other. Use a spare rolling pin or tennis ball to massage the soles of your feet. Can you pick up small items like beanbags with your feet? Get the kids involved too.
Treat them to a soak and moisturise (your feet not the kids). Foot treat products make great gifts.
Friday Keep in Contact
Phone somebody you haven’t spoken to in ages and make their day. Don’t wait until Christmas to send a card asking how they are, do it in person. For those of you who will struggle with this go and read a bit of a board on here you have never visited. You don’t have to post.
Weekend Unfinished business
How many of you have projects half finished? Knitting that needs making up, books started but not finished, decorating all but the finishing touches done. By leaving these things almost there we are denying ourselves the joy of seeing a finished product, the satisfaction of standing back and saying “it’s done”. This weekend try to get one thing which you have already started and has been pending completion finished for good.
Preparing for Christmas Challenges

Wednesday season of goodwill and forgiveness ALL DONE
Thursday Festive Food ALL DONE
Friday Festive Drinks ALL DONE
Weekend Check your Lights
How does it happen that the lights are working fine when you put them away but mysteriously are no longer working when you get them back out 11 months later? Check all your Christmas lights this weekend and spend many a frustrating hour moving the bulbs around the string to ascertain which ones are faulty. I have FINALLY packed my hospital bag :j:j needed DH's suitcase after all that, Im actually amazed that he can take that suitcase for 5 months at sea and ive filled it for a couple of night stay in hospital  still need to pack a couple of bits of my toiletries though, but its just a case of hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste to go in the bag which I can do over the next couple of days.
