It was very windy here all night, it sounds quieter now but the trees are still moving alot.
Couldn't get to sleep last night. Read 'til nearly 3am  but I finished my book :o Does that count as a weekend challenge? :o
When I finally got to sleep didn't sleep well then DC4 decided that walking over my pillow at 6ish was good  Finally gave in and got up at 8.
Fed 3 out of 5 cats, checked fb & played my games while drinking my coffee.
WM on as you guessed it the only bit of washing left got peed on by DC5 :mad:
Got to get DD2 up for her drumming club at 10. Which leaves me 2 hours to kill so might do a bit more Christmas shopping :)

Grateful - hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday xx
Jojo - your kitten is ADORABLE!!!!!

I've done very little tidying - just trying to keep stuff straight (ish)! I was up at stoopid o'clock so took stripes for a really long walk. Now i'm going to drag all the pressies out of their hiding places and wrap whilst watching some weepy film. Therapy! :green:.

Hope to join in properly (ish) tomorrow xx
  • Good morning :D

I am up, and ready to hit the books. DW emptied, dog fed.

Rant alert!!! Feel free to skip....
Just had MIL on the phone re kids Xmas lists. She said she is going to get the kids the normal pressies, but just little pressies for us grown ups. I have absolutely no problem with this, as I struggle to find ideas of things I want, and she only has her pension, so not a problem. Then she went on to say, that she didn't know what was happening at xmas, but would we like to go to her. I have been saying to DH for MONTHS that he needs to speak to her & make sure that she is ok about coming here. I have started planning for xmas, and actually prefer to have it here. We have the dog aswell, which we can't take to hers. She has just said she doesn't have the money, now she wants to feed 11 of us and all the trimmings!! And she is 81. My kids prefer to stay here anyway. I have text DH, and I will tell him that I can invite my mum for xmas dinner here, then go to hers for tea if he likes. We spend EVERY xmas with his family. I haven't had my mum over for dinner for over 16 years (step dad can't cope with lots of people). I tried to get this sorted MONTHS ago to avoid this! Grrrrrr!
    Sorry - rant over :o

Ok - where are my books? :p

Goodintentions huge hugs. Already had the massive family fallout here and it is still not sorted. Only difference is it is my family. OH's we see between Christmas and New Year and it is never a problem.

To the garden for me, back in an hour for lunch.

I'll do all the stars for yesterday and today in one go tonight.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Thanks Dusty
I know a lot of families have this palava every year, but we don't generally :( I have suggested to DH that we have dinner here (the 5 of us) and invite my mum & SD, and go to his Mum's for tea. He hasn't come back to me yet - but I can't see him going for it! I don't think he has EVER had xmas dinner without his mum, brother & sister, and he doesn't like change!!
    Ho hum!
Anyway. I am a quarter of the way through my assignment (a little progress), but I am taking a 'break' now - as I have to go to Mr T's. I am taking DS & DD2, so it will probably cost a small fortune!!

ETA just had a text from DH. apparently he HAS had a conversation with his Mum about Christmas, and he worries about her because she forgets she has had a conversation about it (or she just chooses to ignore it!!):(
