do you believe in psychic mediums readings

Patric Walker's forecasts were cryptic but always sounded so profound. I think Shelley von Strunkel was his pupil but she's not a patch on dear departed Patric!Stick to the newspaper astrology section, it costs much less and you will have as much meaningful information in there as any psychic could conjure up, up until they can give you next weeks lottery results, take them all with the tiniest pinch of salt.0 -
No, I don't believe in it, I have seen Colin Fry too!!BUT I got a call out of the blue from my niece a few years ago (she was very close to my mother) and she had seen a medium who told her my mother wanted me to know that it was time we got the radiator in my youngest sons room bled as she thought he wasn't warm enough at night. That was so strange as we had intended to sort it out but not got round to it, and my mother was obsessed with keeping kids warm in bed at night. My niece couldn't have known the radiator was a problem, but she knew that it was so like my mother to say it. I was a bit spooked by it.0

and although about 80% of it was obviously a generalisation that would have applied to most people in some way, he came out with a few very accurate statements.
I could probably pick any regular poster on here and make 10 statements about them. The chances are that 70% or 80% of the statements would apply to most people but there is also a reasonable chance that 1 or 2 of the comments might only apply to a couple of people.
MamaMoo,
"You are going to have a change of lifestyle do to a medical problem" (I won't say whether the problem is yours, a friends or a relatives).
"You are going to get an unexpected surprise in the next few weeks"
" You are going to receive news from an old friend"
Etc
If none of these things happen to you in the near future then you will probably forget all about this post, but if 1 or more of them does then your subconscious may well recall the "predictions" that I've just made about you.0 -
i went to see Colin Fry total rubbish ,he went to a member of the audience first message he got right, then the rest were no no no no the audience went silent you could have heard a pin drop .Colin Fry didn't feel very well and left the stage and his assistance took over, what a waist of money.
i still like to believe though , three of us went to see an old lady for free, she was spot on, but didn't say a lot. Sadly shes died old ageyou never know how good a company is until you have a problem.0 -
This is what I was talking about earlier - I don't think they can do it to order.i went to see Colin Fry total rubbish ,he went to a member of the audience first message he got right, then the rest were no no no no the audience went silent you could have heard a pin drop .Colin Fry didn't feel very well and left the stage and his assistance took over, what a waist of money.
While I'm not defending Colin Fry or any of the others, it ssems like they can't win. You were rightly unhappy because most of the info seemed inaccurate and then in other situations people are unhappy because they think the info given has been obtained by subterfuge. It can't be both! I think I'd rather be a "snake-oil salesman".
When I attended a local demonstration the man went on and on to me about "going to Iceland", "you're thinking about visiting Iceland" and I said no, not at all. It wasn't till later when I was replayin it in my mind that it made some sort of sense. I had a very serious complaint with the Iceland store and was waiting for a settlement proposal from their Head Office and it was on my mind a lot at the time!
That's why I now think that some people are able to pick up "vibes" from others. The bloke seems to have picked up that "Iceland" was on my mind and assumed it was the country.0 -
I was shocked when I read that someone I knew was now a "world renowned psychic", it also gave her history which I knew to be complete lies. She was nothing more than a welfare benefit fraudster & a grifter.
There may be people who are psychic but I dont think so.Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0 -
But did it get her off the benefits, that's what we all want to know? They'll be introducing it as part of Employment Training (or whatever they call it hese days) next!I was shocked when I read that someone I knew was now a "world renowned psychic", it also gave her history which I knew to be complete lies. She was nothing more than a welfare benefit fraudster & a grifter.0 -
Interesting reading the posts:
- as per usual some see things in black and white, and leave no room for doubt. Like 'Spock' it's so illogical so it can't be real.
- something that some have realised but Randi et al have not grasped, is that 'mediumship' is not controlled by the 'medium'. They act as a receiver and interpreter for the signals coming through.
Problems arise, where the ego of the person concerned gets inflated and being a 'medium' becomes a business rather than a 'calling'. It becomes all to tempting to make something - be creative - when there isn't a 'message' for them.
Yet, at less commercial settings - Services etc., comments here show (even if some dismiss that) that - information given is something that neither the speaker or listener could know before hand.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
