Well unsuprisingly redundancy for H was confirmed today
one door closes another opens........
Thankfully due to length of service he will get a decent payout to help keep us afloat for a while but am sticking my frugal cap firmly on my head. Not quite sure how I will get anything done when he's at home all the time :eek::eek:
Have been more relaxed over spending as of late so this is a timely reminder not to go mad. DD had a reasonably frugal birthday, we didn't spend as much as we have in previous years. Will start shopping about now for stuff for Christmas and DSs birthday in September.
Veggie patch suffering with the wet
courgettes still not pollinated
broccoli being eaten alive
peas and parsnips doing ok. One of my Aldi cheap apple trees has pollinated and has some baby apples growing but the other does not
does concern me the effect on house prices. Friend who's family are farmers has said apple harvest is poor and if they can't get the wheat in before it rots......well can safely say can see prices rising. Meh.
B u g g e r off to where you should be jet stream and give me back my summer :mad:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

how are plans on the "cunning plan" coming along? or are they not?"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0

Hmmmm cunning plan I am kinda changing mind over
 I think it was a question of having to give up too much but I guess it lurks there in a last resort kinda way

So that's it. At end of September H is out of a job. Hmmmm this isn't quite how I envisaged 2012 panning out for us.
Today has been his last day in the office, garden leave for him now thankfully. Not so sure that's a blessing for me as stuff doesn't seem to get done when he's at home
Feeling rather emotional today
combination of H's last day and worrying how he's feeling along with the thought that next week DD starts full time school and no more little persons at home with me. Am sure in long run it will be a blessing as I can crack on with stuff without a small person underfoot but also means it will just be me and the dog. And H if he can't find a job. Feels really strange and an end of an era. I am sure I am also over thinking this and getting myself in a tizzy
Anyway goal over next few weeks is to start building up more of a stock cupboard, use the SC which languishes in the cupboard far too often and also the Remoska which hasn't been used enough
Time to finally read the Remoska thread I bookmarked when I bought the bloomin thing
Onwards and upwards here at Chez Bitsy. I am determined not to get bogged down by all this. Looking at this from a positive change for us as a family.....whatever that may be
