You don't stand a chance with two children and a Labrador! You do realise, Labrador tails are +2 for damage, and +4 against fridge magnets, I hope?:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: labrador tails are the least pressing of my worries......it's the teeth as Luna has happily having a chew on DD's school shoes. Am I a bad mummy for thinking the damage isn't that noticeable and we can get away with them until the end if July? :o:rotfl::rotfl:

No, you're not a bad mummy at all.:o
    1. If you buy more, what's the betting Luna will put teeth marks in those also?
    2. What are the odds that DD will have grown out of them in next to no time and you'll have to buy new ones in July in any case?

Sold the little Plastic playhouse. £136 Kerching :j sadly will have stupid ruddy eBay fees to pay out of that. Meh. Still will cover the cost of the new battery we bought for stupid piggin car.
Am gutted as the money I'd earmarked for holiday ended up being spent on sodding vehicle so need to cut back and live on very little to scrape the funds back. Ok we are lucky as we are planning on 2 holidays in my parents caravan when some don't get any but we don't go away at any other times during the year.

Suggested to H that we need to pay closer attention on what wee spending, been getting a little slack lately :o I've been sticking to grocery budget but then H will do his little trick of popping up there and coming back with 5 bags full of stuff......

Am hoping weather starts to improve or I can see my courgettes and peppers getting no where fast.

We're away next week, so dry weather at least would be nice!:o

    Message for Luna:D
Come here, young missy. Now, Sit! Listen, your mum tells me you keep sticking your little nose into cowpats and other unmentionable substances. This is Not Good. This is not something that good doggies do. It needs to stop, or you're going to have a rumbly tumbly all the time, and that's not nice for you or your mum. Listen to Auntie Wolfy, be a Good Girl, and show us all what a wonderful Labrador you really are, OK?:D

Bargainous car boot shopping this morning but boy was it hot!!

H discussed aiming for mortgage free status  Hmmm perhaps he is absorbing this MSE stuff by osmosis or something :rotfl:
Our current fixed rate mortgage ends in June and we will revert back to a variable rate. So I posed the question, do we continue paying the mortgage at the current figure and thereby overpaying it or save the balance. He actually suggested paying off the mortgage. Now I mooted an overpayment per month of approx £400. We are already over paying the mortgage by £50 a month already so perhaps a figure of £350 is what were talking about. Not sure its achievable but by doing so we would be mortgage free in roughly 8 years  (if the overpayment calculator is to be believed). On one hand that seems scarily short time but then a scarily long time when figuring out how to rustle up an extra £350 a month......thats a whole wage (my previous one). Since I am not looking to dip my toe back into that scene we need to a) find out how much the payments would drop by and see if that helps us achieve our target and b) see if we can cut back or make more money <gulp>

I need to find a money tree :rotfl::rotfl:

Wow am really slacking with this diary malarky :o:rotfl:
Nearly another month going by and I've not posted anything.

Sadly big news but not good news. H faces thread of redundancy. Not good when he's the sole wage earner in this household. B u g g e r.

Swung from blind panic to positive thinking yesterday. Am pleased to say currently positive thinking is winning :T

I am viewing this as a blessing instead of a curse. It's prompted us to re-evaluate our direction and discussions have been taken about a new course for us. Everything is up in the air at the moment so no goals are set in concrete. But I spent much of yesterday watching 5 minute motivational YouTube videos after a link on a thread the other day (before i had been informed about redundancy). Was the Universe priming me for dealing with less than perfect news? Who knows but it's food for thought.........

Have completely failed to keep track of spending with grocery challenge :o but if I am honest I don't think I went over by a significant amount <crosses fingers behind her back>

Good news my cheapie Aldi apple trees have small apples on them :T wild strawberries growing rampant, raspberries also growing well (despite my complete failure to do anything with them :rotfl:), got flowers coming on courgettes, peas growing nicely and a load of broccoli planted. Must pot on my peppers before they beg to be put out of their misery for being pot bound :rotfl:
