So sofa and armchair on second inspection I didnt like. However Ive found one on ebay that would be even better. You can make an offer rather than a flat price which is great :)

A financial overhaul is required so at some point today i shall be logging on to online banking and working out a proper budget.
I forsee lots of cups of coffee and biscuits to accompany this task :rotfl:

work is starting on the garden next weekend :j hubby has roped his uncle in to helping. he knows a place where you can get manure free (pig manure i think...). he has plenty of experience with growing things as he did it with hubbys grandad for years. getting excited about it now :D

Also picked up two handbags, one was leather and in excellent condition, the other I think was brand new. Showed my mum and she started coveting the leather one so I've given her that one as an early mothers day present :money: clothing choice was rubbish but a girl can't have too many handbags can she ;)
I have to admit I only have one handbag; but I'm extremely fussy about bags, and had to resort to ording online from a shop in Belgium to get what I wanted (also I'm too lazy to transfer stuff from one bag to another more than once every decade).:D

*nods* Believe it or not, we used to have an elderly lady living next door, and when she saw me getting herbs in from the garden, her reaction was "eeewwwww, not out of the dirty ground!!" Like she thought herbs grow in little plastic bags in Mr T's!:D I'd have thought someone her age, who would've seen digging for victory and wartime rationing, would've known better!

:eek: to dirty ground. Some good stuff in that there ground.

So Lidl run to stock up on bread flour. 8 1.5kg bags equates to approx 30 loaves so assuming thats approx one loaf every day thats bread sorted for a month :D
Sat and did budgets this morning so have a clearer idea of our finances. Want to factor in some savings as car tax is due at the end of this month......£245 for one year

ouch to the car tax  hubby has decided to pay insurance yearly as he says it works out cheaper. sat and worked out a budget and all our bills yesterday so we know where we stand. hubby was giving himself a mini breakdown over this car loan... in the process giving me a big one :o

so food shop was £24 for the week. we buy meat in bulk at costc0 and works out cheaper. also told him that 2-3 days a week are going to be meat free. i stood guard over the left over spag bol lsat night and that is safely in the freezer :D hubby normally eats it just because it is sat there...

is making bread really cost effective? have never really made it and only eat brown bread. we go through two loafs a week easily :o the joys of having a child who has a bread addiction :rotfl:

Well we can eat a loaf of bread a day!!! Mind you these are small HM ones, more the mini ones you buy at supermarket.
It does work out a wee bit cheaper BUT for me the main advantage is HM bread is more filling, I know it's got no additives or nasty stuff in it. It has 1tsp of salt and sugar for the entire loaf and hasn't been pumped full of air just to get it to rise. And it makes cracking toast :)

Wot she said!:D We keep some shop bread in the freezer for emergencies (like if I'm not well enough to make bread) but for the most part, we eat HM bread because it's just so much nicer. I haven't really costed it out, but I certainly don't think it's any dearer to make HM.
