I use both systems, paypal postage for 1st class and royal mail online postage for 2nd class, so there is no plus side to me since they are both downMy darling boy born December 20110 -
Perhaps if they privatised the Post Office - so they had shareholders to answer too - we'd not see these regular outages??
Can you imagine someone like Amazon going down for 4 or 5 days and unable to sell any of their goods or services ?!
This is utterly astounding both in terms of gross incompetence, and a awful customer service. It's going to be a tough Christmas for postmen if this carries on, they'll be much less in the system for them to pinch0 -

Don't get your knickers in a twist old girl... I don't make much of a distinction as it works like this - you give it to the Post Office, it gets '''''lost'''''' either by them or Ali Baba (that's RM to me and you)
Nice to see they are going to work on tonight and 'try' to fix it LOL.0 -

A bit of advice please, I always put first class on my postage details (no choice with stupid paypal postage anyway!!!)
Shall I email all 16 of the people that have bought from me, letting them know the problem or leave it, what have you all done???
P.S I can't afford to use the post office, if we were warned i would have transfered funds to my bank account so that i could, but of course no warning and not much from customer services either!!!0 -

Transfer the money and wait a few days for the money to get to your account and then go to the Post Office and buy over the counter. But email your customers and tell them that the system has been down so you have to get into town to post them and you cannot do that until Friday. That will buy you a few days but at least you have been straight with them.0 -

Is there no chance at all you can find the money from somewhere and get these items posted? Buyers may well be expecting their parcels and be rather upset if they don't arrive in a timely fashion. It could seriously damage your despatch stars if you delay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
