    3 posts lost. Aaaaaaargh!

    In brief:

Kitchen cleaned from top to bottom.
Friends pup with broken leg staying (very funny, poor thing).
visited friends who moved house yesterday, very nice house and remarkably organised.
Washing fairly up to date until DD tidies her room!

Glad the thread is a little more up-beat today, take care. XX

NPM: Many thanks for the pickling advice. I'll be going for crunchy definitely. Think I will invest in some Kilner jars as people here are so generous with their produce and if I don't use it the Drop-in or the Church fairs and sales will soon take care of it.

LOU: Thank goodness for your friend. Ask her if she can hear the distant sound of cheering.:T:T:T

I think everyone likes reading your posts, halight. I too have missed seeing you around. X

Evening all. I donnt have much to say atm, as I am thinking lots, but thanks for all your kind thoughts. Dbil's stent is blocked after all, and they will be operating on Monday, they have changed his meds around and hopefully that will do him good. My uncle had been told he has a few months left; I cant tell you how.upset I am about that, I will need to make plans to go see him, but at the moment I can't trust myself to hold it together, and that wouldn't be fair on him.

The work thing, I am determined to be positive about. They have said they will select the leavers, and dont want volunteers, I am hoping that will change, and if so, I will ask to go. I have worked out our finances and with my redundancy payout, we would be ok. Its the chance to make the changes to my life I have been too scared to, until now. If Bil and uncle werent going through this just now, I think I may have seen things differently, but I have decided that life is too short to worry about money all the time. :) The most certain thing in life is death, and I cant keep muddling blindly along thinking me and mine gave all the time in the world. That wasn't very articulate, but ygwim. Just keep your fingers crossed for me, that I get what I want.

Another coat of paint giing up on the hall ceiling tonight, then hopefully the wallpapering will commence tomorrow, I had hoped for today, but I was too busy sleeping the day away :o

Have a good evening all, hugs all round.

JackieG I think it's the right decision and if all this upset makes you realise what's a priority for you then that's something positive to take from a real carp time. I hope they will give you the redundancy and I'll be sure to shuffle over on the "brassic and loving it" bench xxx
