    Morning All

Haven't caught up on this weeks events yet but I'll try to later today. Today shall be mainly spent cooking as I found a slimming world weeks menu online and I'm going to give it a bash and see how I find it. I'm never going to be skinny but next year I have my brothers wedding, my sisters wedding (two hen nights too!) my 40th and a weeks holiday with just the hubby (:j) at some point so I want to shift some weight - we'll see how I get on. I'll have to dig out my paul mckenna CD too as I did very well with him earlier in the year.

Any slimming world hints/tips/recipes greatly received! i'm not joining a group just now - If I can handle the menu for a couple of weeks then I'll see but as hubby works evenings and weekend and I work weekdays getting their regularly might be tricky!

Hope everyone has a productive day - I've had a cold/throat/chest thing for over a week and haven't really done much (anything) around the house so I need to straighten the place up too. DH working all weekend again and I have the kids but at least I only have to pop out to for a couple of bits.

    Enjoy your day x

  • Good morning everyone.
The mist is still hovering over the fields here but it is starting to get very bright. WM has just finished so i may hang it out. Don't know if it will dry. Want to hoover right through today and have a good tidy up. Can you freeze swede? If so, do i have to blanche it first? I was given two swedes and two parsnips so i don't want them to go to waste. I will be making soup with the parsnips later and pop them in the freezer.
FB, your pics are amazing. Looks like you had a great time.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

JackieO Cariad, I agree totally about the shops, in the old days before OSiness I would spend every Sat traipsing around fighting the crowds and spending a fortune, no more! I have bought almost all my pressies on line this year.
DW and WM on and recylcing done, DS3 still in bed DH is making bacon. We will crack on with the decorating today.

JC - I'm an on/off slimming world person, it works very well when I stick at it! Sadly I get tempted too often :rotfl:. have you seen the MSE SW thread ? Very friendly people who will help look up syn values and give support to you. I find it helpful to post my daily food diary on there when I'm doing SW. Also the SW magazine is quite good (although they do repeat a lot of recipes). I will be back on the SW wagon as of Monday. It was going to be today but I'm out for lunch with family and tomorrow I'm out for dinner with date guy so figured I'd just start Mon!

    Morning all:j:j

    Chilly here this morning.

The twins have gone off to there danceing lession. SIL has taken them.

Im off over to Mr Ts in a bit. I will also be going over to mr Ts tomorrow morning to pick up the reduced meat that they have. Most sunday mornings at our local one they also seem to have loads of meat that they need to get rid of. Iv had loads of bargins over the last few months from there on a sunday morning hile the twins are at sunday school.

Our male cat is in the dog house (no pun) He woke us up at 2:10am this mroning being sick! on our bed:mad::mad: So all bedding today will be going in the wash, luckly i dont have anything to do this this and wifey shall be sorting it out.

The twins wont be back untill lunchtime as SIL will be takeing them to the park after there dance lession.

The twins will be haveing sandwichs and salad with fruit for lunch. im going to have some soup, not a clue what my wife will be haveing.
At the moment we dont have any plans for dinner tonight. It will need to be somthing that we will all eat as most saturday nights we all eat together.

Hester sorry to hear about your OHs spots, Im not sure what they am as iv not had a look for online photos unlike most on here have, i dont really wont to know. Somtimes its better not to know. Id only end up getting worried and cheaking myself every hour to see if iv got any!:D

I did not know about divas ashs being spred yesterday. You know time goes so fast, it only seems like yesteday that we were all chatting to her on here:A

Anyway i hope that you all have a great day.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone what ever you are doing:j:j
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

fb i agree with jackieo, wait until the post-xmas dinner offers to join but you could get some free day passes now to try out the diff gyms and see how comfortable you feel at them/with the equipment. or try classes.
bethebee sounds like my nan's with all those photos, one wall of her living room is completely covered with photos!
jc2703 not strictly slimming world tip, but if you are able get some short exercises in. start with a mini circuit of 10 push ups from your knees, 20 crunches and 10 squats done 3 times and build up, it's <10 minutes a day to get really fit and help your weightloss.

Morning everyone. OH has left to see family this morning but will be back later, he wants to take me for a meal tonight but recently i'm finding eating out really difficult. It's making me very anxious.
Need to go to the post office in a bit, then maybe sort out all my plant pots outside. Loads are filled with soaking wet soil and the prospect of dealing with them is just  I really want to plant an indoor salad window box but need to sort them out first.
