  • Evening all

    I can't believe it's dark already :(

I had a lovely lunch with my nan and parents. Bought my nan a bunch of flowers for her birthday. My poor Dad appears to have vertigo too! :( hopefully his is only a short lived thing unlike mine. I've ordered him to go to Drs. After lunch I went to visit my other nan to fill her in on my hols, and my aunt was there too.

I'm sleepy now so going to have a lie down before Strictly later :)

    Hi everyone,

Just popping in briefly to say I've been outside today for the first time in over a week! :j Only for 10 minutes but it was nice to get out for a short time. Hopefully I can go out again tomorrow. I can't go far, as due to the op I've got to stay near my facilities :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing ok today. If you're having a rough time, please accept a hug from me.

Looking forward to SCD later. Can't wait to see what the Grant gets up to tonight. Might even treat myself to a small glass of grapejuice. Haven't had one for 10 days

  • I think everyone likes reading your posts, halight. I too have missed seeing you around. X

Evening all. I donnt have much to say atm, as I am thinking lots, but thanks for all your kind thoughts. Dbil's stent is blocked after all, and they will be operating on Monday, they have changed his meds around and hopefully that will do him good. My uncle had been told he has a few months left; I cant tell you how.upset I am about that, I will need to make plans to go see him, but at the moment I can't trust myself to hold it together, and that wouldn't be fair on him.

The work thing, I am determined to be positive about. They have said they will select the leavers, and dont want volunteers, I am hoping that will change, and if so, I will ask to go. I have worked out our finances and with my redundancy payout, we would be ok. Its the chance to make the changes to my life I have been too scared to, until now. If Bil and uncle werent going through this just now, I think I may have seen things differently, but I have decided that life is too short to worry about money all the time. :) The most certain thing in life is death, and I cant keep muddling blindly along thinking me and mine gave all the time in the world. That wasn't very articulate, but ygwim. Just keep your fingers crossed for me, that I get what I want.

Another coat of paint giing up on the hall ceiling tonight, then hopefully the wallpapering will commence tomorrow, I had hoped for today, but I was too busy sleeping the day away :o

Have a good evening all, hugs all round.

Jackieg can you possibly "let it be known" that you'd be happy to be one of the ones selected to go? My mother did that, aeons ago when Woolworth's were kicking out staff, and they obliged her. Just a thought.;) I'm not very articulate with "family" things, but know that you and yours are in my thoughts.:o
