Has anyone bought sofas from Argos?

Can anyone advise me as to the quality of sofas from Argos?
Have seen one I really like in Harveys but it's £47 delivery, and I saw the Watchdog programme about lots of people getting screwed about regarding delivery times, so have gone off the idea.
However, have now seen an even nicer one in Argos, but apart from the (smallish) picture, how do you know it's going to be any good?
It's not a cheap one, nor is it part of an offer (BOGOF etc.), it's a fabric softie one.
Anyone - any experiences?

I bought a leather chocolate corner sofa from argos two years agos , it was in sale £550.00 insteat of £ 1100 , and I must say that for the price and effect it gave to our sitting room it has been great .
I wanted something simple and care free which will look good without spending a fortune , I have a 5 years old dd( she was 3 at the time ) a cat , the cat sometimes think of it as a scratching post , daughter soemtimes use it as a disco , but it still in perfect condition ( appart from a few little scartch from the cat which I have been able to tone down with leather care produce), , we are using it a lot ( abusing it I should say ) but it doesnt look tired , old or tatty , so quite happy with it...... and best of all it is very comfortable........0 -

Order it, see if you like it and if you don't, ask Argos to collect it FOC. You should even be able to get your delivery charge back if you order over the Internet or phone as the distant selling regulations says the delivery charge must be refunded.0

I've got a 2 seater and 3 seater sofa from Argos and I've only had it about 2 years. They were lovely when they were delivered but within 6 months they looked a mess and now they look like sacks of potatos. I'm on the look out for some more but not from Argos.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I got a sofa bed from Argos four years ago. It cost £399 and it was in a spare room, and received very little use.I had to replace it after two years, as the covers had worn badly, and the back cushions, in spite of being plumped regularly were mishapen and saggy.I would never buy from there again.
Maybe I just chose a duff one, but it put me off0
