After a couple of days I was able to view my e-Savings account online, and done a £1 test payment all worked OK.
Today I got the account welcome pack in the post, have to sign and date the confirmation form and send it back to them.Despite the time-wasting paperwork the account has been opened today. However, the £1 internal transfer that I requested to open the account has not been made (at least not yet shown online).
Same as you, my £1 internal transfer requested at time of opening never did go through. But the form I got to sign and date and return to them, says on it:
Your first deposit - confirmation form. Please transfer my first deposit of £1: from xxxxxxxx xxxxxx to my new account xxxxxxxx xxxxxx. We'll make the payment as soon as we get back your signed tear-off slip.
So maybe same in your case.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Has anyone with an active e-Saver been offered this account?0

What a stupid way to go about offering this!
I asked in the branch if there were any better rates available with Natwest than my eSaver, was told there was nothing except fixed term, ISAs and others that didn't suit me.
So I opened an account with first direct, transferred all my money out of Natwest, closed my eSaver, and THEN they decided to offer me the bonus rate!
Really don't know if I can be bothered to reopen an eSaver now, even though it beats the FD rate for their equivalent. If they'd offered it earlier I'd probably never have got around to moving.
Does suggest that if you've got an eSaver without the bonus rate, it might be worth your while to close the account and seee what happens though...Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY0 -

If that doesn't work, you can always close any bank account by writing a letter.Saving for deposit: Finished! :j

I went down to my branch today, first they told me to apply through my NW Internet account, however, even they couldn't even find the account on the Internet despite me providing them with a hard copy! "We are not allowed to use Google". Eventually they came to the conclusion that it is probably for people without Esaver accounts!0

My wife has been offered the eSaver 3.12% deal. She does not currently have an eSaver. I, on the other hand, who have been a customer and eSaver account holder for many years have not been offered the 3.12% deal! Typical of today's short sighted attitudes and lack of respect for loyalty. Guess where my money will NOT be invested ! If you ever read this NatWest, take note !0

Aaaaagh! Just had a letter thanking me for my application and telling me that I have to apply again as a new customer!!! What on earth is going on?0
