I was thinking about crumble but was worried that they wouldnt cook right - I was worried that I would have to go out and buy cookers and then make them together.0

I generally make muffins with the apples no-one likes. Grate them, peel and all and stir into a basic muffin mixture. Add some cinnamon or mixed spice;)0

Take the core out and fill with dried fruit, mincemeat, other old fruitbowl fruit, tinned fruit (just about anything) add brown sugar to taste, add rum if you like, and bung in the microwave.
Voila.......... baked apples. Add cream, creme fraiche, custard, more rum
Enjoy0 -

Mincemeat and apple crumble is nice.
Or, add tinned apricots. It will help to flavour the apples.
Good luck0 -
Apple : Crumble, Pie, Tart. Already been said but...:)
You could chop them up and feed them to guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters etc.

There's a lovely recipe in "BBC Good Food One Pot Dishes" for pork and apple braise which uses eating apples. Can't seem to find an online link at the moment, but basically you flour your pork cubes (500g or thereabouts), brown in small batches in a tablespoon of olive oil, set to one side. Add another table spoon of olive oil to the pan and soften a chopped onion in it. Add slices of one apple to the pan and caramelise on both sides. Add the pork, add a tablespoon of mustard, 300ml of stock (sometimes I do half stock, half white wine), 2 bay leaves and simmer for a good 20 mins or so. I serve with basmati rice. This makes enough for 3 people generally.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0

I make apple and ginger jam with the crappy eating apples, it works pretty well as I discovered after ending up with 3 carrier bags of them last autumn and no freezer space!0

Why not find a recipe book and look for the recipes which begin with 'Apple' or perhaps contain the word 'apple' somewhere in the title?
Alternatively, keep them in a box by your front door and throw them at passing cyclists.0
