Yale Alarm PIR's
Comments
-
I've got the HSA3200 and only had it a couple months, it's a pretty basic system that came with 1 remote, 1 PIR and 1 door contact, but for what it does I can't fault it so far.
Considering trying one of the PIR's in the garage, but I'm a little concerned how the PIR (and/or the batteries) cope with the colder temperatures, and that they don't keep getting triggered by insects. Guess there's one way to find out, but has anyone else had success doing this? maybe i should just use door contacts to avoid false alerts?

Glad everyone has had a good experience with these systems. I bought the 3400 basic one from B&Q too.
Looks easy.
steps 1,2 and 3 where.
However, the siren refuses to respond as described in step 4 and I can't find the receipt to take it back...
I must be doing something really basic wrong.
Still, I might get through to the help line yet and if all else fails - I can stick it on e-bay!
Anyone any idea - is there an obvious mistake to be made?0 -
Had a similar problem with ours... check that the pins inside the PIR's and siren are at the right position.I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. We have put a PIR in our garage and in the caravan and so far no false alarms or problems yet, been up just over a week. And I think its as cold as it'll get last couple of days.I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. No, for two reasons...
1. Any flashing lights would drain batteries quicker
2. Any flashing lights when the system is armed would also be a good indication to mr. burglar when the system ISN'T armed... !0
