does anyone know if the 3 leds on the bell box are suppose to flash back and forth when the alarm is armed??

No the light only flashes when the alarm is triggered.

miss_cheivous, when you say 'some of these' are you just referring to the PIRs ?

Sorry if I stating the obvious here, but you are aware that you need a yale wireless alarm system for these to work with aren't you...?

The alarm system itself would be a good bargain though at £80 (or less if you find a handy OAP to use their diamond discount card on a wednesday)

    Hi,

I've had a yale wireless system for nearly 2 years & haven't had to change the batteries yet.

Says in the manual that batteries should be require to be replaced every 3 years
  • This maybe posted elsewhere (can't see it). But these Yale HSA3400 systems are now £50 at B&Q. Part of the "When Its Gone" offer which started on Friday 16th.

I managed to get one at St. Helens but they were flying out quick. 3 got picked up whilst I was stood reading the box.

Has anyone tried to see what the range is on this stuff, ie how close does the PIRs need to be to the siren/contol pad. I was hoping to have the PIRs in the sheds (1 of them is 100ft away from the house). If not, then I'll have to put all the system on and around the sheds. I already have a wired system on the house, and just wanted this system for the outbuildings.
  • fitted mine yesterday afternoon. piece of cake, apart from drilling 4 holes 30 foot up a ladder holding the drill with just one hand.

the box blurb say 30 metres, but it also says when fitting each PIR to press the test button to ensure good radio signal is achieved.
so, its suck it and see.

    hope this helps

    Hi All,

Bought the following alarm (Kit 2) from B&Q for £50 over the weekend, they had a special offer.

Anyone had any experience of this? Pros and cons?

    Thanks
