  • Has anyone done the coach trip part of the deal? Considering that as not sure my car would make it!! Coming out at £185 for three of us including tickets.

I did the coach last year. In general it was good. they put some disney films on and it was pretty much stress free. My only issue was that we got public transport to the coach pick up as way cheaper than parking. Beforehand we called consort to see if there was any chance of us getting back early, we were told no way as set ferries are booked.
Then when in Disney we had to leave park 2 hours before it shut as bus drivers insisted on getting an early start, they then managed to get us on earlier ferry, so we ended up getting home at 3am instead of 6am! No public transport at this time so ended up forking out £50 for taxi!
Just be aware you may not get get all day in park (we missed evening parade due to pick up time) and make sure you've got flexible travel arrangements coming back!

We were going to do it again, but it seems way more expensive this year for the bus! I'm sure last year we only paid about £40 each, but when I looked it was £70 this year!!!

I think I'm going to do it like this:

    £9.50 sun tickets
£80 overnight stay in hotel (breakfast included and free shuttle to and from disneyland)
eurotunnel back the next day £FREE as will use £10 clubcard vouchers.
£not sure how much spending money yet, may just take 100euros and a bank card!

We will take breakfast, snacks and lunch with us and probably stop and eat brekkie on the drive to Disney, then we just need enough money for dinner that day and lunch and dinner the next day plus a bit of novelty rubbish that we MUST have!

We were planning on getting the early ferry there, then driving to Disney, dumping bags etc and taking shuttle to the park for opening time. Then the next day we will go and have a nosey around Paris, show the little ones the touristy bits, then will drive to the eurotunnel and be homeward bound. Works out cheaper than upgrading with the sun for us!

if you eat on site its expensive and rubbish - last time we went we had the worst meal ever in the rainforest cafe - cold chili con carne with raw onions and hard as rock rice which was tiny and cost about £20, see its 20 euros now - it was inedible, complained but service was appalling it came back cold and still inedible but in a warmer dish some 25 mins later- 45 mins for drinks, 45 mins for starter, over 3 hours for starter and main and drinks for 2 adults andd 2 young kids - joke

complained but they didnt care - asked for bill to be adjusted they wouldnt budge - paid for my wife and kids meals and refused to pay for mine

also if you heading to paris be aware that disneyland paris is a fairly long train journey to paris - about 45mins PLUS waiting time of up to 30mins - we waited seemingly ages PLUS to you have to allow time to get through the stations at each end - id allow at least 2 hours - and yeh dont drive in paris, french are rubbish drivers

Yeah I know they're not the best drivers, I used to live in France :)

We're not driving now as fuel and tolls mean it's not far off the price of flying which is a hell of a lot less stress for us.

I'm pretty sure the woman who phoned you must have been mistaken or something as on the sun online booking website it actually gives you the option from the drop down to 'arrange your own travel' Surely they can't give you this option then not give you the tickets as you'd essentially be paying them to give you a whole load of nothing :s

Hi there I can't seem to see the option on the drop down for the 'arrange your own travel' but could you point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi all,

first time on this forum, came up in the google search.

we have been collecting the tokens for the first time and well a bit confused regarding ferry.

There is no way we want to do the trip within 24 hours so ideally would like to have ferry one day and then disney next and leave on ferry that day

Day 1: set off relaxed, take ferry, relax in paris

    Day 2: Disney
    Night ferry

It does mention that it is possible to do a 2 day ferry, and this costs £30, fine. However, is it possible to arrange the ferry for a day different to the day of the disney ticket. this is my query, as you can see from my ideal itinery above, I do not want to have ferry AND disney on same day.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    OH and also

anyone got names/links for the cheapest hotel/s near the disney park please?

I have looked at F1 but it's about £55 per night, anything cheaper?

We are planning on driving, looked at the disney park details and it's a 15 euro parking charge! so any info on this would be good too ie cheaper way to enter the park from nearby hotels etc?

I think we are definitely driving though as we would like to visit nearby belgium (just 45 mins from Calais) and go to europort in calais paris etc, just a bit more freedom in own car.

parking is free at the hotel car parks, so if you are a guest there, you park there for free. ie Kyriad, Explorers, Dream Castle, Magic Circus, L'Elysee val d'europe. All of those hotels have a free shuttle bus going to and from the hotels to the Disney parks, all day every day.

Also check out hotels in val d'europe and Bussy St Georges - a short drive to DLP, or one/2 stops on the RER train, which also runs every few minutes to and from DLP all day every day.

A single fare to val d'europe on the train from DLP is around 1.5 euros per adult, half price for children under 11, free for children under 4. fare to Bussy St George is around 2.20 euros per adult, half price for children under 11, free for children under 4.

there are lots of chain hotels in these areas, campanile, premier classe, B&B, Ibis, Etap etc etc etc.

    balletshoes, thank you so much!

yes, we are not planning on staying in the disney park hotel as it's only 2 adults so would be more expensive.

I'm having a look now at those other regions you mentioned bussy st george and val d'europe. the RER train sounds fantastic for us!

    many thanks.

slightly cheaper @ 8 euros per day is parking in the Disney village carpark, which is better as you end up closer to the park than the main carpark!

we have stayed @ the Adagio twice. it does have a shuttle but the times arent great, so one time we got the train which wass only a few euros and 1 stop away :)

Help - have just realised I'll be one token short if I buy the paper every day from now till the 9th.
Any idea if there's any way to get extra tokens? Perhaps a bonus token somewhere?
Otherwise does anyone have one extra? Will of course pay for it.
    Thanks
