Am I being a silly bint?

That's exactly it, thank you for understanding!
I coulnd't give a dog's ballbag if it was anything else...he can go and do what the hell he likes...it's the fact that it's my favourite band in the world! And he promised we'd go.
Not jealous of his brother, I adore his brother and we get on so well. I'm not controlling, jealous or possessive either...I jsut wanna see Coldplay Goddammit!
If you loved them that much, why didn't you sort tickets out sooner for you and your OH to go, then his brother wouldn't have been able to do it?0 -

Well said. Dreadful band. You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
I still can't work out
*Did the brother buy more than 2 tickets
*Are the tickets standing (so anyone getting a ticket now would be able to stand with the others)
If the answers to both are no it is all highly irrelevant.Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Is Coldplay the real issue?
The bit of the OP that stuck out to me was that you don't have female friends, and your hurt that you are being seen as 'the girlfriend' rather then 'one of the lads'.
You won't ever be 'one of the lads' to your partners family. You'll be 'the girlfriend' until they are comfortable around you, and then you'll be a member of the family, but it won't be the same as having your own friends. Your partner might be a great friend, but you need someone else too...someone to do things like this with.
Your OH intended for you to go together, but that was just a loose comment...it wasn't set in stone, so although it probably is irritating, it's something you just have to live with. He hasn't chosen his brother over you...his brother has bought tickets, and asked him to go, and if he says no he'll anger his brother and possibly make them hostile towards you.
Let him go and have fun. Phone him so you can try and listen, or ask him to record a bit, or get you some merchandise. Then go together next time. It'll still be good, and you'll know you are 100% wanted there.0 -
not read all the replies as can't be bothered..sorry...BUT with it being coldplay and you would lose a boob for it...you should go and he should go and he should understand...if it was someone else then let it go...but no I would be miffed and peed off...imagine the whole conversation after the gig, I'd want to smother both of them!:DYou may walk and you may run

And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -
Coldplay are awful, truly awful. Alan McGee described them as producing music for bedwetters."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
DH sometimes goes to gigs with his brother if it's someone I don't care to see, if his brother rang and said he'd bought them both tickets to see my favourite band (which isn't Coldplay
) he'd say, 'sorry, the missus would be well p*ssed of to miss that, take your girlfriend and I'll get another couple of tickets and we'll meet up'.
I can't believe his brother didn't check dates beforehand and whether he wanted a ticket (if he's expected to pay him back for it), I'd be miffed too and I'd definitely be going, with or without them*.
