well i have provided screenshot in the ticket of the email you mention which shows the STMP is not plusnets and never has gone through plusnet.
As mentioned, I've replied. The screengrab does show that you have an email account configured to send from your domain via a non-Plusnet mail server.
It does not show that you have never sent an email from your domain using our servers.
I don't want to argue with you, but trust me when I say server logs don't have a tendency to lie. By the sounds of things it's something that's not being done wittingly but it does definitely seem to be happening.
Somebody (whether it was you or somebody else) sent an email via our relay servers from your externally-hosted domain on the 13th November 2011 (pretty sure there'll be other instances if we look for them). The subject line of the message matches the one referred to in this post.

natually that other post does show plusnets smtp as the message was attempted to be sent from my plusnet email address, now you dont want me to use the plusnet smtp with my plusnet email address
these errors and fails are only when i use my plusnet emails which i have set as my default email address.0 -
I have a you@plus.com and me@mycompany.com and the error happens with both as they both use the plusnet mail server

I think you may have misunderstood the information I've provided you with.
The logs I've posted are taken *directly* from our outbound email servers. We have literally logged onto the outbound server, and 'grepped' the logfiles for the error signature contained in this post (waCU1h00C2rdZ2901aCW8G).
The sanitised log files can be seen in my post here, however if you take a look at your support ticket you'll be able to see the full version.
As I keep trying to explain the email has a MAIL FROM address that is *without question* an address under your domain rather than your .plus.com email address.
Not sure if it would make a difference but I don't suppose the 'Reply To' field is set to your domain in any of the mail accounts you *do* have configured to use our relay servers?
The screenshot you have just shows the local configuration for one of your email accounts. Whereas the information I've provided you with is from our mail servers themselves. The latter is by far the most conclusive.

well i have provided you with 100% proof that my domains run through my over server mail server and not and never has run through Plusnets.0 -
If your own server sends on port 25, will this automatically relay through Plusnet's server?0

It shouldn't. We don't use transparent mail proxying and nothing on our network would cause this to happen.well i have provided you with 100% proof that my domains run through my over server mail server and not and never has run through Plusnets.
100% proof would be the log files from your other server. I'm confident you wouldn't find entries for the sent emails I've been looking at though.
The log files from our servers are as near to 100% proof as you're going to get.

I've provided the necessary evidence (and had the problem fixed for you as far as I know) so my work here is done really. I'm sorry it took as long as it did.
I'm not going to get into an argument so I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on the cause.
Let me know if the problem resurfaces.

no it wont, this has been checked by my server admin, this is run though the servers own mailserver/IP.
i will not publish this info on a public forum for security reasons, but plusnet have this info sent through their support ticket.0 -
