    I couldn't sleep last night so read through all 72 pages and at the end did the old 'let's see how many points I get' game and I got anything from 12 to 41....I really couldn't make head or tail of there descriptors. Why isn't Washing/ Ironing Clothing / Bedding or Changing Bedding in there? Or am I the only disabled person who likes clean clothing / bedding...or general supervision with things like getting up / down stairs or in / out the bath.

    Seems like they think if your disabled you live in a house that is all adapted and perfect for your disability needs, we all have microwaves (and should eat microwave food) and we can all wash clothing / bedding without any problems.

    Also section 10 about planning a Journey, is states that if you can't use public transport (Train or Bus) then you're classed as not being able to plan a Journey, so does that mean if you're in a wheelchair they think all Buses & Trains (including all Stations underground and overground plus Bus stops are all accessible) if they do I wished I lived in there perfect fully accessible world or does it mean that since I sit down all the time I can't plan a journey on my own? (but at least the latter would give me 15 points...what ever that means, since it doesn't seem to explain how the points correspond to anything, there's nothing to stay its works like ESA where you need 15 points (or meet an extra descriptor for the Support Group).

    Oh the joy of PIP.......NOT

    I can't work my score out at all, some of the descriptors are very vague. Also confused as to wether I fall under the epilepsy category, I don't have it but I do have sudden blackouts without warning for neurological reasons.
  • Activity 9 - Making financial decisions. Why isn't 'needs assistance ...' in there, it's either 'needs prompting' or 'can manage' or 'can't manage'? What if you need someone to do the complex stuff, but can manage a basic account?

    mobility is only looking at wheelchairs - if you use crutches, and struggle with them (as I do) it's tough.....

    I agree, it is complicated. I read through it and came up with 39 points, but many of the old DLA questions have gone and this appears to be aimed at the most severely disabled, I am sure many who receive HRM and HRC will end up with nothing if this draft became the test.

    I completely agree. It appears that if you have mobility issues that would currently qualify you for HRM, but are able to use aids other than a wheelchair to move around you will not receive anything. Previously the criteria was;
    because of a physical disability, you are unable or virtually unable to walk without severe discomfort, or at risk of endangering your life or causing deterioration in your health by making the effort to walk
    So the new pip will exclude a high number of people as far as I can see.

    What happens if you don't own a microwave?

    Under new government guidelines along with the ATOS test of "virtual wheelchair", we have the "virtual microwave" and the "virtual cook" and "virtual cleaner" to cook and clean for you!;)
