Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

I have heard the prawn story as being left inside the curtain rod. LOL. A classic urban myth, but maybe someone actually did it.Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...0

We've already talked about when we move we.re taking the toilet seat and lightbulbs, but this is because
The toilet seat was an xmas present and is one of the ones with barbed wire in, and the light bulbs are all energy saving ones that have been in for less than a year.
HOWEVER....
We will refit the old toilet seat and replace the bulbs with normal ones- You kept your old toilet seat:o
- Energy bulbs are now on sale in B&Q for 94p - how much are you selling your house for?:p

With the last house move, we talked through with the purchaser what they wanted and left that. As other posters have said, it's not worth haggling over carpets etc. We tried to be open & honest and I left them a note with the days for rubbish collection etc., our paid up garden waste bin til the end of the year and a bunch of flowers.
However, the first house I sold was to a young guy from up the road. He came along with his "girlfriend" and pleaded poverty. They "persuaded" me to leave my fairly new fridge and oven as they were setting up their first home; I had fitted ones in my new house, but my sister rented out flats and would happily have bought them.
There was a month between me getting the new house and completing on the sale, and when I drove the 250 miles back to clear the old house, just before contracts were exchanged, I saw a To Let board fixed onto my house. I rang the number and made an enquiry, so I'd know what the rent was. Then I rang back and said that they would be getting a solicitor's letter for trespass on my property, at which point they threatened me (nice!) and said that as exchange had happened (it hadn't yet) they could do as they liked.
As soon as the exchange came through, I took anything that wasn't nailed down. Yes I left the oven & fridge but I took the shelves, salad boxes and egg holders. I took the loo rolls, holders, light bulbs and didn't bother to vacuum any of the house. If he had been honest in the first place that he was setting up in business, I would have done him a good deal on the stuff, but the deceit really stuck in my throat. I found out later that the girl wasn't his girlfriend, and it was all a ploy to get stuff for free.0 -
When I bought my house, the seller had said that she'd leave curtains at all of the windows. When I moved in, I found that she'd left one curtain from each pair. It didn't occur to me to ask how many curtains she was going to leave!
