Late one from me, just to say welcome to the newbies, get well wishes to the poorlies, sorry for those with job worries and hugs for those with poorly relatives and dogs (bramble).

Glad to hear you are ok for a wee while yet JackieO! You make me tired just reading your posts!

Had to laugh at choock nurse NPM, glad the hen's ok now.

Busy day at work, our probationer teacher, a young fit chap had to go to hospital as he was sick and had a sore ankle. Turned out he had a blood clot in his leg. I went to collect him this afternoon and he is ok, just shocked I think. He has to go for monitoring twice a week for a while but should recover.

I have done my baking for the fair on Friday, I'm not in tomorrow as it is DS2s graduation (again!). This is for his Masters so it will be another proud Mummy day tomorrow. Have a mattress to take him and DD and I had to get it in the car which was not an easy job. Cue myself and DD shoving and hauling for half an hour in hysterics. We managed it in the end, just need to get it out at the other end in the middle of Edinburgh!

    Take Care. XX

    Hello everybody,

Welcome newbies, you will like it here.

Hugs to everyone, sad to have so many people ill or with relatives who are ill...never rains but it pours.

JackieO....so are you really going to slow down or is that just what you think to-day?? Be careful pet.

Menopause....I remember it well, I was about 38 when it started, had cervical cancer and a hysterectomy at 42, which was when the carp really hit the fan....happily I was able to have HRT and that sorted that out.

    Lou....hope you doing ok to-day.

Bramble....glad that the wasp incident had a happy ending.

NPM....mind your back with those heavy bags, glad that you were able to sort the soft egg problem.

Lone Wolf....hope the episode passes quickly.

Did lots of washing yesterday and left on line overnight, when I went to gather in this afternoon, it transpired that some of the cattle in the field near the line had been sucking at 4 pieces, including a top I really like, the barstewards ruined most of a sleeve so will have to see if I can shorten both to make it wearable again!

Bought 2 lovely ham shanks to-day for €2 and they have been simmering with lots of veg and beans ever since I came home....had some lovely soup for tea as we had lunch out to-day, meat is falling off the bone and will make a nice dinner to-morrow with very little effort. Bought some nice Polish sausage also, will be nice in a pasta dish.

It is now raining heavily, we have had almost a week with no rain and you get so used to it.....

Sleep well all and stay safe

Tea was using up things from the freezer-I need some space!DS1 had a tuna stk with pasta,DS2 a portion of mince and we had baked spud with a leftover portion of chicken curry thats been in there a looong time:rotfl:Then stewed apples & custard.I went next door and got another carrier full of apples ( with permission I hasten to add)I might leave them a day or two as my wrist is still sore from peeling.I think they are eaters really, but cook down ok too,and dont need any sugar.
Anyway time to grab my book and say goodnight x
