Hello people,
This is my first post on this type of thread, but I just had to tell someone
I'm housebound at the moment, recovering from surgery. The painkillers are brilliant, so I'm not in any proper pain, it's just there in the background. Now for the fabulous bit, which is possibly TMI: I've not worn a bra for the best part of a week, and it's wonderful! The freedom is great and I feel I can breathe unrestricted :rotfl: Ehm, yes, the painkillers do make me go a bit doolally, lol.
Wishing everyone well, good lucks and hugs.
The OS part of today is that I can't spend money. I can't go outside until at least Friday, so that'll be over a week of no spending. I'm not allowing myself on any websites that sell stuff either
Bye for now0 -
Nice to meet you trolleyrun, hope we see you on here often xxx0

... Going over the Pennines to close to Chester. Will also use our NT cards maybe to go to Tatton Park ....
Donny, I used to live in Warrington and went to Tatton regularly. It is lovely - but bear in mind you have to pay to enter the park if you go in by car, I think it's about £4 or £5 quid. Another fab place that is NT parking is Dunham Massey - deer park, gardens, house, cafe, shop, and all near to the Bridgewater Canal for a bit of a wander along the tow path.
Have a lovely time!0 -

:eek::eek: I WAS joking, clearly I shouldn't have. So keep a lot of KY Jelly in the house generally or is it now featured on the must have list for chicken owners
Welcome trollyrun, hope you'll post again, painkillers not a requirementI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Another newbie to this thread. I don't get to go through this site very often but as I'm on annual leave this week I thought I would have a browse.
My day started off well until I unloaded the washing machine and wacked my head on the corner of the worktop. Been shopping for tea, jacket spuds, beans and cheese tonight. I've also just baked 2 Gypsy Tarts, never attempted before so can't wait to try a slice later. Just off out into the garden to clean the chooks out. Really chilly out there today, grey, grey and more grey.0 -
Afternoon all!
Another busy day here, 4 loads of washing which have been magically placed in the baskets, visit to 88 yr old great aunt, who has dementia and was totally confused and distressed yesterday, however seems a bit better after a trip to the loo! sorry if TMA!
DD is off work ill, we have all had the chesty coldy virus which is doing the rounds, last week DS was sent home from college upchucking, and this week is her turn, she's the picture of misery, must be bad as she refuses to be off, this is her first ever sick day from work and only ever missed school if she had something contageous like chicken pox!
Got a chicken in the oven roasting with garlic and shallots to use them up, will have tonight with spuds and cauli cheese, and rest will be tomorrows dinner at work for me, OHs sandwiches and a pot of stock for chicken and rice soup, yum, my OHs favourite!
Have a good day, big hugs all round, you can never have too many!
ETA welcome newbies, you dont have to be mad or medicated to come here, but some days it helps!RIP Iain
