Morning All
Well we have had 3 nights in our own bed,and now hoping to get out in the caravan for a long weekend. DH having a mutter about not had time to get ready (he won't go out without washing it) but I am sure we can be ready to be off by lunchtime. Going over the Pennines to close to Chester. Will also use our NT cards maybe to go to Tatton Park . Had a big spend at Aldi, stocking up with all fresh stuff, and for the weekend away, though 2 meals are included in the rally, but DH found some tools, one for him, and another for DS's Stocking filler. Cooked some mince, and veg and had half last night, and will make it into a cottage pie for tonight, so easy tea.
Didn't get the bedding altered, but can use it as it is again, and look at the fix later.:o Food is loaded, so just need to put some clothes in, and make the fixed bed. Went to see GNeice & GNephew with some bits we had got for them from Spain. Ended up helping DNeice with English and Maths homework. Her parents have moved her to another junior school, which seems to be much better, and has homework most nights now, it was a rare event at the other school. As the HMaster could not even sort out a problem between 2 9 year old girls, they decided enough was enough, he suggested he invited the other girls mother in to talk to her Mum, this was declined!!
Sorry to hear your news JackieG (((hugs)))
Lou really pleased to her the drinks are the right sort. How about telling us what you have managed to eat, as I said, I do not care how unhealthy it is as long as it is food. ((hugs))
Enjoy your shopping Jackie-0 and hope your scan goes OK later.
Hoping my 2 scrabble partners are a little better today, I know how it hurts with DDad RR, been there had the t-shirt and even made the video. taplady if HRT suits you then I have to admit it did wonders for me.
mumto2boys hoping your day improves ((hugs))

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all.
Firstly, hugs to everyone, think we all need a hug each day.
Sat at work waiting for something to do but would much rather be snuggled under my duvet at home. Doesn't seem to be any work for us to do this week as we're waiting on jobs coming in, guess it's going to be another day just sat here clock-watching til 5.30pm!
I have brought in a decoupage booklet I got free with my craft magazine, tempted to just do some here.
Chilli pasta bake for tea then I really must make a card for my mum who's retiring on Friday, been meanig to do it for the last week or so.
Hugs once again to you all. take care xxx0 -
morning!
my one day off today:j
managed to sleep a bit last night. Forced a bit of breakfast down. Have had a god clean through - mopped the kitchen floor, 2 loads of washing hoovered through upstairs and the stairs and just having a coffee.
Mum popped in briefly - she's back off to Devon today on the train.
Hoping for a hair appointment today. Off for a coffee at my friends later for a good girly chat. She's older than my Mum but is so lovely that the age difference doesn't matter.:).Sometimes its not always about money and the feeling your not alone and someone cares is enough to make you feel a bit better
Have a good day everyone
Cheers JackieO xx

MIA yesterday because I have a gallstone on the move which creased me up all day, still very tender today so I will not be doing anything too energetic
Had some bad news on DH's Uncle who has Alztheimers, basically he hasn't got long .

Tappers I was a little younger than you when I started my menopause. I didn't have HRT as I was one of the lucky few who sailed through with hardly any symptoms................Ducks.

I had visions of you breaking out the rubber gloves and going into "nurse" mode:rotfl: that IS going above and beyond :rotfl:
BM is on, heading round to my mums to make some fondant icing reindeer for my Christmas cake. Will get stuck into the cleaning this afternoon. Makeshift for tea as I have tap class tonight.

Good Morning!
So here is Wednesday, hump of the week! Looks like it's going to ba another slow day at work so will have a nosey around MSE for a while I think!
Had a very lazy night last night, but did manage to ebay some doors that have been hanging around our house for a while (we bought them in a bundle when we were replacing some missing ones in our 1930's house, have had them stripped and now re-selling). Tonight is dinner at a friends, looking forward to it so much, I love catching up with some of my oldest friends!
The not-so-great clothes washing challenge has stalled slightly, however my lovely DH did go and do a supermarket shop after work last night  BIG Brownie points, let me tell you!
DonnyGal Tatton is very near to where I live, lovely place for a nice long walk
Big hugs and spoons to those in need.
Think that's all for now, but may be back later!

Hi all,
Sorry to hear your news JG
....and yours BBrain- &hope you're better today
Waves at Lou x
NPM- glad your hen is better today
My wrist s aching like mad today-think its all the chopping veg and cleaning I've been doing for the viewers on Sat...who incidentally have not been in touch. The agent has been trying to get in touch with them but failed-she rang to ask if they did turn up and how were they.I told her they were very enthusiastic, saying the house was perfect, ticked all the boxes etc etc and they would defnately be in touch with the agent.I just dont get some people-I spent hours decluttering, cleaning and tidying, and stayed in all Sat. as they rang and altered the time in the morning
Tappers,Julie ,Ivyleaf-you have my sympathies-I am 56 ,only stopped AF in May and had symptoms for the last few months, but it is the Sweats/flushes that trouble me most.I even swapped us to a single duvet each instead of our big one so I could have a summer weight one over me & DH can still have his cosy one,but I still get too hot.As s.o.else said -a roomful of people is hell!! Sorry if TMI:o Didnt really fancy HRT.
DS2 feels a bit better today but will have to cancel seeing DGD tomorrow, its not fair to expose a little baby to his germs.
May make some more soup today, but I shall get the processor out to save my wrist, got a fair bit of broccoli to use up.
Hope is a good day for you all xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all:D
Am having a day at home today, cleaning, and batch cooking:DMoved the sofas round last night , so me and OH are now on the 3 seater and the dogs on the 2 seater, as he insists on sitting next to me, and there wasn't enough room:mad::mad:The room looks weird tho as the little sofa has tons of crap behind it that was previously hidden:o:o
Have been trying to be good and dry stuff on the maiden, but the towels are like sandpaper:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway (((huggles))) to all in need today, and pmsl at NPM being a hen midwife:eek::eek::eek:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

It's a grey day here - suits me just fine. We've a church Xmas fair on Friday so am frantically trying to finish off the last 3 Xmas stockings. The fiddly bits always take much longer than anyone would imagine. Also promised to make them some cakes so had better get on with those, not today though, I'm out all afternoon.
Have absolutely no idea what we will be eating today, or when, but there are odds and ends in the fridge that need using up so we won't starve.
Have managed to put off switching heating on till evening, then only for a couple of hours.
Butterfly Brain: You and me both. Aren't we the lucky ones?
RosyRed: Don't talk to me about selling houses. I've got two on the go. My own on the mainland and my late Dad's. Fortunately my brother is doing most of the donkey work on Dad's. I think people are shown at their worst when buying a house. They want to come with VERY short notice, Get your hopes up by enthusing all over the place and promising that an offer is on it's way and you never hear from them again. My DS showed a couple round my house and the wife asked if it was quiet, DS launched into a lyrical spiel about it's quietness, only to be told afterwards that it was much too quiet for her, she wanted to live in the middle of town. So why look at a house in the country? DB and I are still trying to deal with the man who dropped his offer by £40,000 when he arrived to sign the contract! He is to be given a time limit because he keeps stalling. So..... dear RR my heart goes out to you.
All love to the poorly and sad. xI believe that friends are quiet angels
