Candy you are a bad woman, but very funny :rotfl::rotfl: It's enough to have any newbies running for the door :rotfl:

I am reading, but doing little in the house at the moment. The hoover is full, and so is the bin until tomorrow morning, so I can't empty the hoover, so no need for housework :o I am knitting the house elf another scarf. He has a red one, now he wants a blue one, and not shop bought. He wants it knitted by mum.

Bitsy NPM could have been out and bought the KY jelly and the gloves yesterday :rotfl:

JackieO hope your echo thingymajig goes OK

Consider yourselves hugged, and double hugs to all of those with poorly relatives.

  • You lot are hilarious! Got to say, m dayhas gone from bad to worse :o Bil as been readmitted to hospital in an ambulance, lights flashing etc., not sure whats going on yet, cant reach sis, spoke to uncle, he has been told he only has a few months, and then my charming employers started the 90day redundancy process today, out of the blue. Approx 900 people are to lose their jobs. Don't try rubbing me for luck peeps, you don't know what you will get. Personally I am not overconcerned, as I am not the mainwage earner in the house, so we could probably manage, but lots of my colleagues are not in that position. Its a scary time, we all thought we were in a wee safe cosy cocoon.

OMG just having a coffee and a sit down....have struggled the last hour or so as my tiredness really hit me:o just wanted to crash and sleep but had washing to put away, 4 chicken pies to make up, chooks to sort, pasta to make for DS tea etc.
Early night tonight, feel shattered. Also back hurting from lugging 20kg sacks of layer pellets and chicken grit. Just ordered another 20kg sack ( marriages pellets with Flubenvet incase you are wondering Bargainbird)
Jackieg Sorry to hear about DBil:(...... I thought about you when BG announced the redundancies:o
To all you daft lot sniggering about the chook midwifery...I have lots of rubber gloves in my first aid kit from work...and loads of KY jelly..it featured heavily in my line of work:rotfl:
  • JackieG.... All I can say is that I have a shoulder for you if you need it (((((Hugs))))) x

So more people thrown on the dole, at this rate we will never get any growth. Why are BG (French owned) making so many redundant when they are profiteering hand over fist?
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Not French owned BB, the argument is that they hope to reduce operating costs to keep prices down. This has nothing to do with the gas and electricity side of things though. I can see their point, its a business with shareholders to answer to, but it doesn't make it any easier for us, the staff, who have put them where they are.

  • Hi Chums and thanks for all your kind thoughts .well my ticker is still ticking but they think its slowing down a bit ,nothing last forever I suppose but as long as I keep taking the meds and don't try running a marathon hopefully it will carry on,albeit a bit more slowly than it did.I have the spirometry test next week.No doubt about it I am getting the full MOT which in a way is good but I feel like I'm forever having tests for this and that.Still coughing but not as bad and breathing is slightly easier than it was.
(Memo to oneself 'You are not 17 anymore so stop haring around')
Difficult when I am used to rushing hither and thither though.

I bought lots of presents today and my Christmas cash is doing well,I am so glad I did the £1.-a-day thingy as its been great splashing the cash and getting bits and pieces.
Helped DD with a couple of bags of shopping as she has too much month before the end of the month IYSWIM.I treated the boys to some 'nice goodies' and they were so pleased. Also got a few bits towards Christmas, crackers and a tin of chocolate biscuits and a nice Ham that DD will bung into her chest freezer for later either Boxing Day or New Year.

Eldest DD popped in whilst I was out and left the Radley bag.Its really nice, and I will use it but no way would I have spent a hundred smackers on it.I can't hardly believe this daft woman was going to tip it,but I'm glad it tipped my way though
I am just off now to have my dinner ,left over chicken casserole from yesterday and apple crumble for pud .Have a good evening everyone
    Cheers JackieO xx

P.S.JackieG I am thinking of you in this awful time for your BIL and Uncle,
    God Bless honey
