£500 up front fee to open the account. How much of a gamble giving them £500 will be could be interesting. Some companies may not have much to lose by giving it them. If they happen to be involved with a big company (which they don't appear to be) with a large delivery of small items then it could work.
I'd be interested to see how it pans out, but looks fishy to me and I'd need a lot of convincing to use it..0

There are a fair few Fastway franchisees with vans and not much to do, so it could be worth them chancing it. The franchise option doesn't fill me with confidence as to goods getting delivered successfully..0

According to the fastway website the only area fastway operate in now is Essex!0

I ran into a guy who was their area sales manager who pretty much gave me a heads up when I tried to use them a few months ago, he'd been busy getting work elsewhere. Can't see this other being to do with Fastway though as they were all about the big money, getting people to pay big chunks up front in this economy is a tricky business model to push forward.Obviously_the_best wrote: »According to the fastway website the only area fastway operate in now is Essex!.0

These guys (paypound) want £500 per year + VAT for an account, then for every parcel you send another £1 + VAT0

I'm not sure I understood whether the £500 was like a deposit or a fee. If the service was a good one, it would be worth it to us even if the £500 was kept, it would only amount to a few pence per parcel. I would just worry that there was nothing in place that secured the £500 should the company disappear after a week.Obviously_the_best wrote: »These guys (paypound) want £500 per year + VAT for an account, then for every parcel you send another £1 + VAT.0

£500 + VAT per year is a 'collection fee'. So this service is about £2 per day plus the charge for any parcels you send, even if you do not have a daily collection none of the collection fee will be credited back to you0
