  • My df is being paid on the 15th dec! Nightmare when its usually the 27th [or friday before it that falls on a weekend] so we have a loooong wait until Jans pay day

I did my first meal plan for this week and shaved £40 off the shopping bill, was hoping to knock that off a very pay later item, but i cant log into the account, will see tomorrow, hope i can then, they said the system was down on the phone!

My company is the same but they also pay us a week early in January so it's not too bad. Just means February is a 5 week month but since it's my birthday then I usually get a few extra pennies to tide me over ;)

My company pay us a week early in Jan as well, not very often that companies do this, my old company didn't and Jan was always a tight month!

  • I'm not even sure when I'm getting paid around xmas this year which I could REALLY do with finding out! It's OH's birthday on Dec 28th and he won't be very impressed if I can't even take him out for a drink! :rotfl:

I'm sorting out food for the week after next now while I watch X Factor :D The xmas tree is up and we've had a mince pie and put the lights on - feels lovely and cosy in here tonight and things have pretty much stopped spinning around now which is nice! One more week to go and I'll have a good idea if I can shift some food budget money to CC paying off money!! :p

That is amazing work on your meal planning!! I am always so surprised by how cheap my shopping is when I only buy things I need rather than wandering round the supermarket chucking everything I fancy in my trolley :o I can't believe they can't ake a payment from you though!! How useless is that! They should just let you off the whole thing seen as it's their problem you can't pay :rotfl:

Wow, I would love to have my tree up, my decorations are in my bedroom ready to go up but OH says too early! :( I think I might have to make some mince pies (although my mum makes the pastry) :rotfl:

Bless ya, I will have mine up soon, we don't even have kids and I get so excited everytime I see baubles and tinsel, I am refraining from buying new decorations as we bought them last year as first xmas living together!
