  • I'm just waiting up til midnight when my payslip comes up online :) Don't get paid til Weds but I like being able to update my spreadsheet and see how much I hopefully have left to pay towards debts!

MrS got the train up to scotland today with his mum, in the end it was the right decision to make even with the risk it held. We had a chat yesterday after I finally let it all get to me and promptly burst into tears! Glad that happened yesterday though otherwise today at work would have been very highly strung for me! Long story short instead of me going up to collect him, he is going to brave the train and germs on his own and meet me in Norwich on Friday so I can go home and spend some time with my family instead of yet more time with his. He is doing ok though, and actually slept some last night instead of waking up every 10 minutes panicking it had happened again.

Regards the PPI I was chasing it with Lloyds but they had no record so it may have been the big H... will call them tomorrow to find out. I definitely had PPI as I remember very clearly them telling me I needed to have it.

Moneysaving... I took leftover curry to work for tea :) Not got any money so can't spend it!

ETA: My daily rate not including interest is £16.43! No way can I do that!

Well, as suspected I can't make any extra payments without messing myself up :( I did think about it but can't see the value in setting myself up to fail and seeing as I haven't paid bank charges in over a year I'm not risking it :D

Seashell consider it this way, you've had a shock and you're coming to terms with it BUT that's the worst your debt will ever be and now it's Monday morning take a deep breath, straighten your back and join us in preparation for the best Christmas (2012) ever!! We've all been there and although it's a rocky road at times you'll never have as much understanding and support as you now have - keep reading and posting and congratulations on your LBM

    kerri what were you doing???:rotfl:

I had worked out my daily figure at £54 a day but forgot to take my payments off that which work out at £20 slightly better but still looks pretty steep to me :o 10p in the pot time....most of this isn't even mine, came from dh's business

    Have a great day people

Another small overpayment of 34p to CC....hoping all these small payments will soon make a difference. Roll on mid Dec so I can update my total figures!!! :)
  • DH finally got paid today (mine came on Friday) so have done the budget for the month. Just waiting for next set of statements so I know how much has come off our debt after interest takes it's cut of the payment. This is the first month of our new life, have put money in lots of virtual "pots" for all sorts like car tax and insurance (so I can pay upfront next year instead of by direct debit) and even have reserved money for things like the school christmas fayre and my DDs pantomime tickets. Hopefully this means that we shall only spend what we have, for the first time in *cough* years. :o

Hello L-M *waves* I apologise for being slightly rude but I know I've been with you on another thread... but can't remember which one? :D

not rude at all! I am amazed you remember me though:p It was the utterly fantastic PAD thread (I was going to say hello to you as I remembered posting on there with you but I thought you wouldn't know who I was and would think I was some kind of mad internet stalker :rotfl:)I stopped posting when I was in hospital having baby no.6 and never got back into the habit of it:o but pad is the only reason I have done so well with my debts:D

Wow everyones doing so well already on this thread:T I can't wait to get started properly, I have spent all weekend sorting out a proper budget, I feel so motivated, I've got all my online bank accounts ready to go:p

    Morninggggggggggggggggggggg!

I am rounding off all my debt totals by making some small extra small payments! Could you adjust my total to:

    £470/£13903

A small announcement from me to you all.

As of every Sunday I will be posting who has paid of what in the week leading up to that Sunday. Hope that makes sense as it sort of does to me in my funny little brain.

It's not a competition. We are paying of different amounts and going about it in a different way. Some of you might pay £1 some of you might pay £1000. It doesn't matter, Heck most of us are paying monthly! :rotfl: It's just some more motivation to keep us going in the (hopefully not) so tough year ahead.

PS I was meant to do this last week but I was just to busy...........sorry. :o
    In debt no more!
