Payday today so I've made my regular payments to CC debt. Unfortunately the 0% on Virg cc has ended this month, seeing interest of £60 a month disappearing into V's coffers is a big wake up call
It's apparently a free listing weekend on Fleabay, so I'll be listing as much stuff as poss. and putting it towards the total.

    So paid off £247.96

Thanks mf0u1098 for starting and maintaining this thread, it's fab x

    You're very welcome! I think it's fab too ;)

That's a great amount to have paid off so will update your total now xxx

Can I ask for peoples opinions, spoke to my bank re loan I have with them, found out that I have PPI on the loan and wanted to see if I could cancel to reduce the payment, the lady at the bank called someone and stated that in order to cancel I would have to reapply for the loan and this may increase the payments??? Very confused and unsure where to post this. I hope someone can point me in the right direction, been reading MSE details about complaining re PPI.

Have you got an answer from the PPI forum yet? I'm intrigued... xxx

    Me too...

Luckily I get a Christmas bonus next week so a chunk will be paid off but it's still going to be tough which is why I'm trying to sell as much as possible on fleabay, asking for coins for xmas/birthday pressies to go in my sealed pot, trying to get as many NSD's as poss...

We'll do it, no amount of chocolate or clothes or whatever vice we have is worth not becoming debt free for Christmas 2012!!!!!!

  • Its quite scary when you see the realistic figure isnt it??! Im currently concentrating on our grocery shopping, i spend *cough* £170 *cough cough* a WEEK on food shopping, plus around £50 a month at the butchers, for 2 adults, 3 children [8, 5, 3] 2 cats and a rabbit. I really should be able to cut this back to cover a good chunk what i need, atm i spend £150 on the debts.
