  • Hello again! Welcome new people- this is a lovely thread :)

Jakes-mum- I hope you feel better soon- I too have a chronic condition (Crohn's Disease) so know all about living with something horrid thats not going to go away *hugs*

I have been to the posty office, and to Boots and to Asda and the Free Zoo aka Pets at Home :rotfl:with my 3 year old. I managed to pick up an on the stove silver coffee pot thingy for husbandio for Christmas for £4 in Asda I am very chuffed with this as he bought one (expensive) and put it in the dishwasher so it went manky, I bought him another (expensive) one for his birthday and he forgot it on the stove and it melted :silenced: so I am pleased with this £4 that he will no doubt destroy in some divvy manner at some point :p

I also spent my Boots point on a new pair of scales for the bathroom (obviously I have full on scales for work but want ones in the bathroom to jump on and off without having to set up work ones) and sometimes with Crohns it is quite eyewatering getting on scales before and after you "go" :eek:can be a 7lb difference sometimes :rotfl:
I also used points to get a new Soap and Glory foundation - I  Soap and Glory and treated myself as it was points not real money and I bought 3 yankee tarts at 90p each as I too agree wholeheartedly with the little treat to keep self on straight and narrow theory.

Carrot and coriander soup on the stove- cant wait to have that for lunch even though I HATE grating carrots but I did it for the sake of my soup lol :A
My orders for Xmas pressies have started arriving now- Amazon this morning (XBox game for hubby, 3DS game for #3, ipod speakers for #1) also waiting on orders from Lush (sisters pressie) Book People (kids) and Office (big daughters birthday pressie). I might even start wrapping it all up soon- harder for little people to seek it out and poke it then

Right- next stop Santan-!!!!!!-Der website to shift a couple of quid over to cover my CC dd this month and see if theyve released my DDs to Co-op yet.......

I don't whether I need a hug or a slap. I've just worked out that I've overspent on my spence budget this month by £60 and I'm gutted. I know it is the first month I've had a budget and I've had a few exceptions to pay for this month such as some xmas pressies and the bar bill (ouch!) at my best friends dads funeral but I should have kept a closer eye on it.

I feel like I've really let myself down and most of it has been because I got really confused by using my Tesco credit card to get points when I should have stuck to just using my HSBC account, got really muddled up. I'm not going to make the same mistake next month! I'm going to give my credit cards to my parents to hold so I'm not tempted by the lure of the points and just use my spence account and that's it.

The upside though is that I've made £132 this month on Ebay and Amazon so it's plugged the gap and then some! Next week on payday I also get my christmas bonus too so should be able to whack a load of money at my debt.

    Sorry guys, I hate Wednesdays...!

The thing I have to remember is that noone is perfect and that I am still paying a huge amount off my debt more than any other month I've ever done so I should be proud of myself! And in actual fact, it is probably a good lesson that I wouldn't have overspent as much had I done meal plans, batch freezing and hidden my food from my family gremlins! I just need to keep making tweaks and carry on. I am still as determined as ever to get rid of this debt and this hasn't ruined my chances of reaching my target of DFD Xmas 2012 so all is good!!!:j

In fact I have checked and I still have £65 in my purse which is what I had left of my monthly spence so I'm going to try to save most of this. I'm not going out this weekend except for my Sunday meal of with my friend as usual so might be only £10 down by the end of the month which is not the end of the world!

Mf0u don't feel bad. I think I spent about £400 on craft stuff last month, I don't even need half of it I was just on a binge. It will give me lots to do this month when I'm skinter than a skint flint though. Don't punish yourself though as you'll make it worse. Instead try to treat yourself when you do things that are MSE :) just like children learn when they get rewards for being good we can be the same.

Idris that's great stuff, and Sam well done on getting the mobile cut.

Just transferred £90.21 out of my Paypal ready to pay the car tax on Monday. I have no idea how much 13 items are going to cost me to post though, but I have £40 in the bank so hoping that'll cover it. Postage bags just arrived whoop whoop.
