Good morning everyone!
Feeling super motivated thanks to this fabulous thread! Am going to do lots of MS activity today as am off today and tomorrow from work :j
Going to clean house and find more stuff to sell on eBay, cook some meals to freeze and think of more ways to make money! Am waiting for pay day very impatiently (isn't until 2nd Dec!) although do have some money coming from Paypal/work expenses/sale of guitar/amazon sales to put towards my total when they arrive! Wishing everybody a great day

Good Morning all
I am also feeling motivated this morning- I had a ganders at the PAD thread and am so inspired to do that!! even if I just paid a couple of quid a day it would help (and it makes me giggle a bit knowing they have to fanny around with my £2 per day payments ha ha) £2 a day would be an extra £60 odd quid a month and seeing as my first debt to tackle is only £300 ish quid then that could be vamooshed in no time!
I am happy to report I have watchers on my ebay already yee hah and may get some more on today. Im off to the PO this morning to pay in my work money- I earned almost nothing this week so a bit gutted about that but in the nature of my buisiness in Jan I will be INUNDATED so bring it onI have also just remembered that my Dad is coming down Saturday with the kids birthday/Xmas money so that is 2 x b'day @£50 each and 4x Xmas @ £30 each
so £140 in my pocket as Big Daughter will keep hers but the money for the littlies I use to get all their pressies and its a good contrbution to the whole 2 birthdays and 4 kids Xmases within 6 weeks hell! (seeing as husband insisted on buying a bike for DS#1 for his birthday..........from a fancy pants bike shop- it cost £250. I am a bit miffed at that TBH but thats another moan lol) In fact if I was sensible it would be £140 off the CC bill as I must admit to praying to the great god credit card for about £120 this month. FOrgive me thread mates, I have sinned. I am also off to boots to collect my many many points from that lots of points for not much money jobby a while ago.
Today on the agenda is also sorting out the great Co-op/Santander debacle. Its a long story involving swapped Direct Debits, mispelt names and Santander being cockwombles. BOR-ING but irritating. I must also sort out the insurance on Big Daughters smashed phone *roll eyes* and pick up my medication from the chemist, or I may turn into a wolf at midnight or something
Have a good day my loveliesHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

I also struggle with saying no to my friends all the time as I just get depressed and feel left out, which doesn't do me any good at all... I do miss more things now than I did and definitely spend less money on them, but they don't understand when I say I have NO money.
I totally understand where you are coming from, but it's all about choices.
I know I want to be debt free (hopefully by December 2012!) but I don't want to stop living! For example, I wanted to go on holiday this year (thanks to the 3 days for 11 days holiday 'scam'!) because while I was still finishing my uni course distance learning two years previously, all my annual leave was spent going to uni, as my company didn't let me have any time off to even go to lectures. I don't class going Derby as a holiday! :rotfl:
So I managed to get a dirt cheap holiday sorted to NYC for £500p/p! Granted we weren't in the Ritz, but it was nice, did all the sightseeing stuff and ate SO much!
A lot of people on here (not this thread, but other ones) will say "You can't afford it, don't go blah blah blah" but there's no point being miserable or you'll just fall off the wagon.
Make sensible choices and just do as many other MSE things you canDEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14!

A great bit of advice there GreenSaints. :T I allow myself, as part of my monthly spence, some money for treats otherwise I know I would rebel and splurge completely undoing all my good work for the rest of the month. It's just like a diet, if you have forbidden foods but they are your favourites then you are bound to slip up when you have a craving and then are very likely to give up. I guess you can apply the same logic to an MSE way of life, moderation is the key and as long as these treats don't become the norm... xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
