hi everyone
Sorry ive not posted for a while but I have been trying to sort out my finances, especially with OH out of work.:(
Anyway I got paid on Friday and the good news is that if I am really careful I may remain solvent until next pay day at the very end of December but the bad news is I won't be able to pay extra off my debt until then:(
Anyway I can now list my own personal debt as:
C/C £2726.09 (£900 0% until Sept2012, remainder 0% until 2013)
Next Catalogue £647.87 (Payment due end if Dec)
Hopefully, I will be able to see these gone by Xmas 2012, even if Oh doesn't get a job.
Im finding it very hard to be optomistic at the moment, but am trying really hard to stop spending uneccesarily.
Thank you all for the continued support in your postings.
Anyway, good luck to everyone and I'll post again soon.0 -
I've had a pretty good weekend
Spent £57.27 on the food shop, which is very good for me, especially considering this is easily more than 1 week of food, and I even bought treats for OH (mince pies) and myself (Coke Zero). Even better, it included £16.25 of savings. Rounding the total spend up to £60 (I'm going to round every shop up to the nearest £5), gives a difference of £2.73.
Did I also mention my £14 train ticket refund? :T
So....
"Saving the savings": £16.25
"Saving the difference": £2.73
Train ticket refund: £14
Loan (regular payment): £284.46
eBay sales (after all fees & postage): £62.48
Total debt busting since Friday: £379.92 :j:j
I wont update my total yet as think that I only have interest to deduct before the end of the month and don't want to see it go downAlso wont be able to use the eBay money until Paypal release funds.
Negatives:
*I need to be a bit more careful with eBay postage in future - I made a loss on P&P, even though I scrounged the packaging for free
*Spendy spendy: £5 contribution to a get well gift for a colleague; Christmas card stamps £9.74 :eek:; £3 on a Christmas book for OH (impulse buy); and £3.29 for some velcro for OH's advent calander.
Overall a good few days though.
Hope everyone else is doing well

Dear Santa/The Devil/The man upstairs (delete as applicable)
Why oh why do you have to be a meanie at the moment? First of all you stopped my phone from working and now the dreaded "blue screen of death" has appeared on my laptop. BIL who works with computers said that is not good at all. So that means I am laptop less until I can afford a new one (which I don't know when that will be! Right before christmas too). THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
From a very peed off loubie :mad:
I shall try and keep updated with you guys but won't be on much for the next month or two nowIn debt no more!0 -

We used to have Riverford organic, who were good, but it wasn't a saving for us, as lots of the veg was really obscure stuff that the kids wouldn't eat -chard and kale and so on, or in silly quantities, three potatoes when we're a family of five, or about thirty carrots! We ended up wasting loads of it, and as it's organic it doesn't tend to last as long as the standard stuff either. I buy mine from the supermarket now again, I'm afraid, but don't buy the prepacked stuff as we end up wasting bits, so I put on my shopping list exactly what I need -2 onions, three carrots, two parsnips etc :rotfl:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

I used to use Riverford Farms a number of years ago and they were brilliant in terms of service and the variety of veg was great. Haven't checked them out since I graduated in 2005 though.....loubie_lou wrote: »Dear Santa/The Devil/The man upstairs (delete as applicable)

Hi again
Ive just caught up with the posts i've missed.
I know that we're not supposed to discuss PPI claims on this post but could someone possibly put me in the right direction?
Over the last ten years i have had loans fro Alliance and Leicester, might I be able to claim the ppi back0 -

I think so. Our delivery was on Fridays. To give them credit, you can chop and change your boxes, so if you don't fancy what's in yours for next week you can order a different one, or not have one at all.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0
