  • HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Everybody,
How is it I always end up being on here at nearly 10.30 when I am supposed to be off?? Oh well, I wasn't on last night so I think I'm just about breaking even, also last night I came home from drinkies with a friend early so i was back by 10.30 last night, win for my time challenge! :)

Oh nooooooo salkunh, really sorry to hear about ur parking fine, its the same where I live, I have had friends caught out too :(

Pedro you have better willpower than I do :rotfl:well done on selling ur Ipad and camera.

Mis-information my overdraft is part of my debt total but as it is fluctuating all the time i don't count any of my wages as overdraft payment, I just use them for my bills and extra payments. Once all my other debts (apart from student loans) have gone I will then be paying off my overdraft, which will mean an awful lot of NSDs, because for years I have just seen my overdraft as MY money, so it will be hard to get out of that bad habit, hope that helps and makes sense :)

Kerri best of luck in your new home, I hope you had a lovely take-away. Oh and ur msg about ur 5p roadkill pickup on another thread made me laugh out loud, ur so funny, and that's exactly like me :rotfl:I am always picking up roadkill, even if its only a penny in front of my friends and things, they think Im a bit odd, but I don't care.

Recurrant Ostrich well done on ur shopping cutbacks, that makes a real difference, I hope that you are enjoying ur spare money that u saved :)

Mf0u I hope ur head was ok today and that you had a good giggly time last night

    :D

  • I shoved a bag on ebay earlier, went and had my tea and by the time I came back it had sold! :D Which means I've managed to pay off another little bit on my CC pushing me to 20% for this month :T:T:T

I should have enough points on shopandscan this week to get a voucher so will be treating my self to something from Amazon with that, and the M&S vouchers from Sky will be getting spent next weekend :D

I count my overdraft in my debt total - I just have the limit included as permanently spent - so right now it's £400 and each month when I get paid I reduce it by £100 - but whether I've actually spent all the money in it (which I always have by next payday!!) I count the whole thing - hope that makes sense!

Aw thanks, the OH looked at me very strangely indeed.

All moved in fine, need to put some very soundproof curtains up though as I failed to notice the single glazing. Room is a mess and c/c took a £120 hit in Ikea today but everything I bought was necessary and I did put back a few things whilst I waited in the queue.
I have no idea where any of my clothes are that I can wear to work tomorrow, and I'm going to have to park my car miles away as there's no daytime parking here, but the flat is really nice and my new housemate + dogs are quite mad :)
No debt busting today, but I'll be right back on it tomorrow.

Oh did I mention I made the waitrose lady yesterday give me my change in £2 coins as I refuse to spend them hahaha.

I'm paying mine off at the minute, am ignoring the bank total and just looking at my spreadsheet for how much is left so I can't see there's more space than usual in the OD!

Oooh well done you - and please remind me of that when I am moaning it will be a hassle to sort out and sell all the stuff I've got chucked in bags for Ebaying 'sometime'!

    Mooooooooooorning DFW'ers

I have just done the snowball calculator and my DFD is Nov 2013 , by my calculations thats an extra £304 a month I need to make to be debt free by xmas 2012  really going to have to get my thinking cap on as im not sure what else ive got to ebay

Ebay not going so well at the moment, sold DS's old coat and when I went to wrap it, did my last minute check and realised a section I had taken to be part of the pattern was actually worn through :( so had to email the buyer on friday afternoon, promised to email a pic to them but the weekend got in the way and when I finally got round to it sunday night they had already emailed to say they didnt want it anyway. Am secretly relieved as I really didnt want to send something that wasn't in perfect condition but think I might get a neutral for lack of comms :( . . . . M.E and christmas looming does not a good seller make :(

Hoping to get DH's credit card through the post today so I can make a payment to that and get it out the way :o and need to start hassling mum for her CC she got for me so I cna pay that too (have to keep on at her as shes a sneaky one and would make payments for me  no no no, my mess, i'll sort it, or how will I learn??)

Morning all! No new debt-busting for me today I'm afraid - and I did spend quite a bit at the weekend (though it was planned expenditure). My school friend came to visit and she doesn't really get lack of money (mortgage paid off by her husband and their combined income is around 4 times mine). I still managed to steer us to a place where we got dinner and two bottles of wine for £25 each. I also "needed" some now work clothes (still wearing short sleeves in the office is starting to get noticed), so I got a long sleeved shirt and a jumper for £20 each, but one of them is coming out of my Christmas budget cos I can wear it for Christmas day.

So all in all I managed to stay on budget for the weekend (just), but not paid anything off. 50p away from a payout on OnePoll tho, so still hoping to get that paid off before Christmas, and my mum said I can work on the family farm for three days before Christmas when I'm on leave from my usual job, so that should help also.

    Morning all!

I emailed Eon a couple of weeks ago to ask them for an energy meter that shows how much electricity we are using at a time and told them how my friends had been given one for free and I would really appreciate if I could get one as I thought they were a great idea and would really help me. They sent an email saying no problem and I got one sent in post yesterday. Is brilliant! Really gonna make a difference to us remembering to switch things off! Very impressed as they are about £30 to buy but a wee email got me one for free :j
