mf0u good evening
you've got me wanting to pay something every day and changed my outlook on spending thank you very much for this thread, exciting isn't it
Oooh total update I'm at £10 paid, pennies I know but waiting for c/c money to clear so I can get that to a nice big number *claps*
It's actually incredible... Surreal actually but just incredible. I wonder if there's an awestruck smiley on here
I'll update your new total then I MUST get off this laptop as I was supposed to be meal planning tonight with my mum... oops!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

:D2013 - OH's year to be debt free:D0 -
Is it sad that I get excited every time I come on this thread?!
I've had a crappy 2011, including the break up of an 11-year marriage and all the costs that go with it. With everything that's happened, I've been quite depressed recently. This challenge has helped properly perk me back up again, and I cannot wait to run over that finishing line next year! There is NO WAY that I'm going to fail this one.
Come on lads and ladettes, make your life better in just one year...0 -
I'm so excited-there are watched on some of my eBay items and bidders on one!!! I could get addicted to this. Nothing ends til Saturday though so will see what happens...
For my challenge this week I'm going to address my working hours. I have a habit of being late in/late out so will pay the price for any arrivals after 9am and departures after 5:30pm (I would say 5pm but with my boss that's not so realistic!!)

I feel the same about the challenge!
After being in debt since I first went to Uni in 2003, I am determined that 2012 will be the year I become debt-free and get my life back! I'm trying not to dwell on the £1000s I've wasted on utter rubbish but the more I think about it the more I'm angry with myself. But I'm channelling that into busting the debt!DFBX2013: 021 :j seriousDFW £0 [STRIKE] £3,374[/STRIKE] 100% Paid off

What a lovely post, I'm so happy that we're helping you Pedro! I cannot wait until people start to cross the finish line and can finally post on the Debt Free Roll of Honour thread. Each one will be like a personal victory to all of us and it'll be like the Great North Run when we'll all reach the end, some still with energy, some with blisters and some being carried over the line but we'll do it together!!! :T:T:T
I think I'll take Kerri up on the challenge of a time limit and make sure I go to bed (and more importantly off the laptop) by 10pm each night as I need my zzzzzzzzzzzz'sNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Yep, I know what you mean. Thousands wasted on things I thought I wanted at the time, and thousands wasted on the interest that ensued. Consider this the lightbulb moment! :j0 -
