Honest John will no doubt report whether an engine has a chain or belt

as above its a bit too general, its like asking which cars have standard alloys. Why are you looking for a cam chain car specifically over cambelt?? You looking for diesel/petrol, hatchback/saloon/estate/van, small engine/large engine??
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

not always, I have found it to be a bit hit and miss but to be fair even parkers can be a bit hit and miss on that info.

I didn't realise any modern cars still had timing chains, i thought it must have been a thing of the past.

Renault 5 (a bit old now)

Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 2004 year not sure about newer or older versions. (my car, so happy when I found out it was a chain :D)

I think the question you should ask is which modern cars do not have interference engines?

I think the perfect engine would be belt driven non interference.

    chains last longer than belts

For many drivers a chain will last the life of the car

Modern belts on some models are at 4y change £300+ job

If anything the reverse is true now. Manufacturers are going back to timing chains in a big way.
