Today I've spent £3.59 in Mr A and £18.something in Mr S on food for tonight and tomorrow. I made a nut roast this evening which was even scrummier than the last one mmmm mmm mmm. My parents both loved it and would definitely have it again, winner! Plus, there's enough leftover for me to have it with our Sunday roast tomorrow instead of chicken :) Although I will be cooking chicken for the rest of the family.

OH has transferred £200 back to me for buying his coat, money at the exchange at the airport, and mothers day flowers. His Mum loved the flowers by the way :D girlfriend brownie points awarded.

So, financially I have £5ish left of this weeks budget, that needs to buy some yoghurt for museli and maybe some reduced bread at some point this week. So this whole £50 budget might just work....although this week was a different one, as I had to spend money on petrol to my parents and then spend money on the roast...which somehow I've ended up paying for instead of my sister?!?!?! How did that happen?!?!?! I definitely think she should have gone halves with me on that somehow. *sigh*

Anyway, OH has transferred £25 more than I've spent and told me to buy myself something pretty with it, so I might buy a pair of jeans from G*P that I know fit me as they're in the sale. I bought a new pair the other day and love them, however I don't actually have any jeans left that aren't super skinny, so having two pairs that are boot cut would be awesome. That way when one is in the wash I still have a backup pair :)

The rest of the money will be split, I need to pay back the emergency pot for the money I withdrew from that and I need to pay my second purse back for the £60 odd I withdrew from that. These withdrawals were spent on the OH for the things he's paid me back for, so it all works out. Then anything left will stay in my a/c and be used towards paying the OD back :) Sounds like a plan to me....hope I can stick to it though.

Sounds like you are doing ok .
Oh and I too agree with the views on here re the bed. I've come to the conclusion that you get what you pay for and you definitely need a good bed as a lot of time is spent in it and it HAS to be comfortable and decent quality to last.

Hmm the moment I stop with the lists I lose all focus it seems grr. Right, so I ended up buying 2 pairs of jeans in the G*p sale for about £40 including postage, they should be arriving later on this afternoon :) I used the 15% off voucher for signing up to their newsletter and 10% cashback that's not showing yet grrr. But if it does then that's 2 pairs of jeans for £36 and seeing how I had the previous 2 pairs for so long that both crotches wore out, I think £36 every few years isn't too bad.
Then yesterday I ended up spending £20 on dessert and coffees for my family, although this was only half the bill as my sister paid half. We only went to what must be the most expensive place to eat in Bmth didn't we:eek::eek: I know Mothers Day only happens once a year, but I have totally blown my weekly budget and I'm quite annoyed by myself about it.

So the budget worked out in the end of £50 + £25 from OH + £25 from work expenses. I stopped off at the Reading office on the way to the parents, which means I can expense my mileage from London > Reading > London. Spendings so far:

    £25.08 petrol
    79p chocolate bar
£19 food shopping for Sunday roast
    £3.69 Saturday dinner
£20 desserts + coffee on Sunday
    £40 jeans
    Total: £108.56
So I'm over my budget by £8.56 grrrr and I've still got 3 days to go until my next £50 weekly budget :(

Next week I will try harder.

So in light of this today will be a NSD, and I will only spend money if I definitely have to, there will be no wants this week!!!

My seeds have arrived today, so now I just need Th0mpson & M0rgan to send me the gardening accessories pack which contains compost and I can get planting :) They haven't sent me the potatos yet though, I wonder where they are?

Todays list of things to do:
[STRIKE]1. breakfast[/STRIKE] hot cross bun mmm
[STRIKE]2. chase up SR for account not working[/STRIKE] have emailed the IT bloke from our induction to see if I can get the ball rolling
[STRIKE]3. submit last weeks expenses [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]4. submit last weeks timecard[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]5. Get fruit bushes out of car and find somewhere to put them where the dogs won't eat them, thinking out the front of the house for the time being[/STRIKE] they're out the front of the house at the moment until I can decide what needs to be done with them. They're far enough away from the road that noone will pinch them (I hope)
[STRIKE]6. transfer £1.50 to my sister as she gave me too much money for desserts + coffee yesterday, I paid for it all by card she paid me with cash[/STRIKE] worked out as being £1.15 so all good in the hood
[STRIKE]7. check delivery and see if jeans fit[/STRIKE] they don't so must go back, will see if I can exchange the pair that says they have them available online. Can't just go to store as I got a discount on them.
[STRIKE]8. phone up to exchange pair of jeans that are too long[/STRIKE] they've taken another payment from my card, but as I'm taking the other pair back that should be fine
[STRIKE]9. check if sister has paid this months £50[/STRIKE] she has a day early whoop whoop, so I've sent it straight to my c/c so I don't go and spend it on fabric
[STRIKE]10. pay £50 to credit card[/STRIKE] done and updated signature :)
[STRIKE]11. order another veg box to be delivered this week[/STRIKE] another large box ordered :)
    [STRIKE]12. put on washing[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]13. lunch[/STRIKE] two hot cross buns and a packet of crisps
[STRIKE]14. dinner[/STRIKE] fried up a portabello mushroom, tomato and half an onion and threw it in with some cous cous, made enough for lunch tomorrow too :D
    [STRIKE]15. NSD[/STRIKE]:T:T:T
[STRIKE]16. thread up overlocker[/STRIKE] tried three times but the lower loop kept coming unthreaded, how annoying! Must investigate this further
[STRIKE]17. download software for proof of concept[/STRIKE] will have to leave over night, but it is currently downloading
[STRIKE]18. Sort out outfit for tomorrows onsite visit[/STRIKE] grey trouser suit with a navy shirt
[STRIKE]19. unpack suitcase from weekend[/STRIKE] done and put back in its place
[STRIKE]20. put away now dry bedding[/STRIKE] done and now back in the blanket box and the throw back on the bed
[STRIKE]21. put washing out on airer[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]22. tidy up bedroom[/STRIKE] it's now back to being immaculate again :)
    23. patch assessment for customer didn't get round to completing yet, will finish it tomorrow
    24. take back jeans that don't fit (possibly post at post office, although taking to a store would be quicker and safer) try to find a G4P in or on the way to Ipswich tomorrow so I know for definite that my money goes back on the card :)

Hi DFW, my bed arrives on Wednesday between 8.30 - 10.30am which reminds me I should freecycle my current bed, will pop off and do that in a minute. I'm struggling to keep warm today :( no idea why grr, haven't really left my bed and my toesies are freeezing!
I have just realised that I have everything I need to be able to make my sisters nappy roll, so I might try to make that this evening. It's going to be a length of wadded fabric, with a pvc backing, and a pocket. The pocket is where nappies and wipes will go, the wadded fabric will be where the baby can lay and as it's pvc it's easy to wipe. It will all get wrapped up into a roll using a bit of ribbon. Think I'm going to throw a hoodie on brrrr, sun shining but it's not warm.

I've lost my long ruler :( how am I meant to cut fabric properly if I don't know where my long ruler is *huffs*
Anyway, I've roughly cut out some wadding, pvc rosali and duck cotton rosali fabric and enough for a pocket at the top. Next step is to sew it all together, but I've got bored, my room is a mess, and I need to be up at 5am so I think I'll pack everything away and try again a different evening :)

Hope you had a good sleep - posting late and think with your early start you'll be in bed- not long now til you get the fab new bed
Like your lists must admit I've started doing mine so get feeling of having done stuff but mine pale in comparison ( just don't know how you do it all )
I'm back to work tomorrow after having 2 weeks off so I could go to Crufts - should be fun.
Will try to drop in tomorrow night once place settled but don't know whether that will happen or what time .
    Til then hun:hello:

Hi Dane *waves* I really should be in bed shouldn't I...oops! I'm nocturnal though, so I never go to bed when I should. I'm just finishing off hanging the washing, then will tuck up and watch the last episode of T0rchwood :)

Oh and my lists might seem big, but they're little things like having brekkie, or lunch, or making a phone call...but if I don't write them down I forget :) I haven't managed everything today, so might roll it over to tomorrow.

I'm happy, I've found the biscuit tin :) I forgot about it, but luckily it's got good seals on it so they're still fresh even though they're almost 2 years old hahaha. I've freecycled my bed and had one reply so far, but will wait until it's gone out on the email before responding to anyone. My latest £5 rainforest voucher has just been sent from SB :D I need £11.24 before I can get my yummy cashew nuts for free :D 1kg for £11.24 in the shop they cost £2.70+ for 200g

  • Kerri where do you get your material from? I've found abakhan and they do 30 metres of random bargain fabric for £15 plus delivery which I thought might be good to start with? (each bit is min 2metres).

Also, any chance you could send me details on how to make the card holder and carrier bag holder? Pretty please :)
