Just had a phone call to say that my hire approval I've been waiting 4 months + for has finally been approved
Going to be back working for the only company I've ever wanted to work for. Slightly lower salary but with expenses and perks will mean I'll be on more (meals + travel expensed instead of paid for etc). Can go back in Jan and hand in my notice.

Right, have realised that paying off the credit card in full only to then use the credit card instead of the debit card isn't exactly working as I want, as it means I can't put spending money into my pocket for a weekly spend. So instead I am going to transport £100 to the credit card as well as the payments for Freemans & Wescott. This extra £100 pays for my months veg boxes (max. £18 each week) with a little leftover. I'm not allowed to use the c/c for any other payments no shopping or anything like that.
I'm hoping that I can start to learn to budget properly. Fingers crossed.
Going to go to Sports Direct tomorrow for a pair of running trainers, a karrimor high vis jacket and some trainer socks as I really need to improve my lungs. I have exercise onset asthma, which won't help, but I reckon if I start with 1 run a week and build it up I'll get there. Just have to learn some breathing exercises and get podrunner on the iPod again.
Luckily, the new job will mean cheap DL gym membership so I will take them up on this offer as going to the gym after work will not only give me something constructive to do in the evening but won't involve cold air going into my lungs. There's a DL right by my allotment as well, so if I can go at the weekend before doing some digging I'm onto a winner, or maybe a swim after digging, we'll see.
I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been of 8st 10lbs and I'm 5ft 5 so I'm the right weight but I have no upper body strength and could do with some toning... I've lost my washboard stomach and I miss it. Moreso though I really want to be healthier and fitter, you shouldn't get tired running up the tube escalators but I do and I'm also fed up of the OH keeping on about me needing to excerise.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I've got fat
I've been putting on weight on my hips for the past few months and I'm not happy that some of my clothes don't fit. Most people would laugh at me saying I'm fat, as I'm only about 5lbs heavier than I'd like, and most would be happy with my weight. But I've just tried on the pair of Next tailored trousers I bought and they're tight on the hips so it'll have to go back. The dress I bought fits, but is also tight around the hips but I'm confident that if I start using the wii fit and do some running with those lovely new running shoes & clothes that I can tone up and trim that little bit that's gone on. This does mean that both suits will have to be returned saving me £70 though.
On a debt busting front, I paid £20 off freemans after interest and paid vanquis in full so I don't incur interest on there. Just waiting for vanquis to clear then I will be paying this months Wescott bill. I'm not sure I'll be able to make any overpayments this month as it's such a long time between paydays, but hoping I'll be able to overpay a little.
I'm really pleased that Freemans have lowered my credit limit everytime I've paid off a bit extra, this takes away the temptation and also looks better as I have less credit available to me yay.
I've managed 4 NSD's this month since payday, which I'm really pleased about. Today was meant to be another but my petrol light came on so I put the £30 in that I was going to put in in 2 weekends time instead and used my seaShell voucher which gets me 100 points for 2 fills of 20ltrs. I remembered to use this last month too so that'll be 200 bonus points winging it's way to me at the end of the month. If I can remember to buy a £15 gift voucher in February then I can get another 50 points, seeing as I only use seaShell petrol this will be used by myself
This week I've set a challenge to eat out of the freezer and cupboards, although hadn't gone near either of mine and I don't have any veg other than beetroot until Thursday, beetroot soup anyone?
Tomorrow I have a list of frogs to do:
1. Put tarps on allotment to stop the weeds
2. Cut up cloches and put over onions and garlic to protect them
3. Take Next trousers back to Next and get my £14 back
4. Go for a run or if raining do wii fit for toning exercises
5. Sort out the rest of my room as I'm fed up of living in a mess
6. Make flapjacks
7. Make some meals from stuff in cupboards (hoping there's some tinned toms or pasta sauces leftover)
8. Sort and do clothes washing
9. Change bedding
10. Take out £20 spending money for the week
OH bought me a really pretty terramundi pot for Christmas, it's deep purple with pink and purple flowers over it. I've already put in £5.51 that I had leftover in my purse and am about to put all the SPC money into it from my temporary pot. It's really good though as it has a stopper in the bottom so you don't ever have to smash it. Right, better find my pjs and try to sort some of this room before beddybyes.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi Cherry,
I only have porridge oats so I always use those for flapjacks
It's really piddling it down today, so there goes my outdoor plans grr. I'm not really one for gardening in the rain when I've only just got over a cold/chest infection, so will put off the allotment until the weekend.
I've already managed one of my frogs of changing my bedding though and need to crack on with putting the washing on. Need to move my car now though as it's a 10-2pm residents permit only and I don't have a permit, so will take the trousers back to Next and shove the car down the road as I won't be needing it this week.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Great news on cheap gym membership :T and don't worry about the extra weight it will drop off once you go back to 'normal' eating and not christmas scoffing :rotfl: I can't remember the last time i had a washboard stomach, oh yes, actually, 1997 pre-kids :rotfl: i hope you get yours backHi Cherry,

Happy New Year DFW, I took the trousers, matching suit jacket, and a dress back to Next and got £55 back. But spent £48 on a two piece suit because I actually haven't bought one in the sale this year and I buy one a year. I really need a new one as well as new job so I don't mind spending that.
Weekly budget has fallen flat on its face. I took out my £20 spending money at Mr W, then went and spent £21.04 on groceries + a recipe book as a present for my sister for birthday/christmas/something in the future, and also bought a square baking tin as we don't have one and I want to make brownies.
I also bought 12 eggs instead of 6 as I always need more than 6 when cooking, a red onion, 3 portobello mushrooms, a loaf of gluten free bread which cost me £3.19 :O can't believe how expensive that was, no wonder the shelf didn't have it labelled, and 2 bags of choc santas for my nephew for next year as they were 50p each and the best before was July 2013. So I had to put it on the card.
I've had a super productive day though, fought the elements down the allotment by putting down my massive 40ft x 20ft blue tarps on the undug bit. Had a play with some of the onions by pulling out the growing mustard green manure from around the sproutings, can't see any garlic sprouting yet but I'm sure it'll come. Forgot the compost bin, so this will have to wait until the weekend now.
Oh and took back clothes to NextI got lost in Brent Cross as had no idea it was outside the shopping mall, but also didn't buy anything in the shopping centre yay
Right, time for an egg buttie then a half hour sit down, then I'll go for a nice run whilst the weathers holding off
Oh, veg box I added some butter to it as no doubt I'll want to bake next week, so that's at £14.84 for the week now.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Well I've managed all but one of my frogs, I didn't manage to put the cloches on the onions so will do this on Saturday instead.
This evening I made a massive pasta dish, enough for 4 people and ate 1 portion, put 2 in the freezer and 1 in the fridge for lunch tomorrow using a dolmio sauce I had the onion and the mushrooms. I also made flapjack the size of a victoria sponge cake and some yummy brownies using the mix I had in my cupboard. This'll keep me going for awhile
I've managed half the washing and changed the bedding, most of my room is sorted now as well which is really good and I've found a shoe rack in Argous that I can buy for cheaper than on fleabay, score. Really need this as my shoes are crushing my clothes in the wardrobe so will put them under the window, but there's too many of them to look neat and tidy, oops.
I'm really annoyed that my graze box is coming tomorrow, I was meant to cancel them ages ago and kept forgetting. Will do this first thing in the morning, regardless of whether they're going to give me money off, it's a waste of money and quite frankly a rip off for what you get.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
