Have you banned him from talking about babies then?RosaBernicia wrote: »Almost all the products I use now are 'natural' stuff - partly because I have sensitive skin and they tend to be better for that, partly because I am an incurable hippie, and also because I don't like most of the artificial scents.
Have been sat in a meeting working out how many pots I need... so far worked out the following:
£200 car tax / year
£50 each per birthday (6 people)
£50 each for xmas (6 people + MIL)
£300 car service / year
£500 car insurance / year
£55 car MOT / year
£110 contact lenses / year
soo per month...
£20 car tax
£25 birthdays
£25 xmas
£25 car service
£45 car insurance
£5 car MOT
£10 contact lenses
£155 into pots each month then. That's fairly doable
(rounded to nice lovely numbers)
Lloyds TSB money is coming in tomorrow, so I've ordered the Christmas dinner from Mr W to be delivered on the 22nd it came in at £59.19. Seeing as I have £54 in my pots at home I figure this is pretty much paid for by that. A yummy lemon pudding and a xmas pud included in that too yay.
I need to buy the OH a kindle for xmas so that's coming out of the lloyds money. Will then take £155 out for my "spread the cost" pots... need to setup online savers for those too actually. Then anything left after deposit/rent from this months wages + lloyds money can be used to pay for remaining debts. I need to work out how much I have left on my c/c, I think I've spent £140 so that leaves £360 for the month which is too much on there. I only need £250.
From now on I am on a budget of £50 a week for food and personal, this has to be the case as I'm fed up of the amount I spend on food. Petrol money will be on top of this as it's far too expensive and I need to see the OH, so that's £50 every other week.
Right budget set.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ok, have transferred this months £155, after bills this leaves me with £740.09 leftover. Forgot to mention that Mr W has gone on the c/c which has £300 remaining. £60-70 to pay removals man. This leaves me with:
I need £50 fuel to get to Wales in 2 weekends time, the car already has fuel for going to bmth next weekend and moving house.
So that's £250 left on the c/c. £50 a week me money + food = £150
So I have £100 left on the c/c if I'm a good girl.
Sooooo £840 to pay off debts with, which leaves me with £10 leftover. So to pay off lloyds I need to find £370. I've got £54 in my pots which I can cash in. So £316 left to find to pay off Lloyds. Lloyds might have to wait until Decembers pay unless I can not spend so much money on junk food.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

haha no, it's more me that brings up babies when he starts talking about staying in education until he's 40+
Provided it pays well, he can do that. It does pay well - doesn't it?I'm much the same, have to use unscented and non-bio washing powder too grrr. I'm not a hippie though

hello again
are your pots online as in online saving accounts with your nominated bank or are they proper pots at home? im just asking because i have 2 current accounts, 2 savings, one isa, one online bonus saver and an isa for my son lol.. all with the same bank.. and i was wondering how many savings accounts u can have with the same bank (wish i could name them online) lol

Well my lloyds I have 4 online savers, but I'm refusing to give them a penny. Going to throw £155 into one pot and divvy it out when I need it. This will also help for when the car is due for mot, service and insurance in June as I'll have 7 months payments into it by then which will be over £1000 :TDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

hehe I've overestimated for each one though just in case, really looking forward to paying the car insurance as one hit instead of monthly saves me some money as they charge 16.9%. I've also got my spare change and £2 pots at home. Really need to get into the habit of taking out cash on a Monday and using that for the week.

Ok massive problem, I feel like I'm on a money high because I have money coming in tomorrow... this is making me want to spend. So I'm hiding from my purse/paypal and going to go straight home tonight without going near a shop. Otherwise I'm going to buy fabric/sweets/stuff I don't need. Gah!!!! Fingers crossed I can not shop.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
