mmmmm one of my faves - v jelly now!
managed a NSD again today :T
Also got some liberated "free" food from work - there were a number of food items (pack of frozen bacon, pack of frozen cheese & 2 bags of porridge with a couple of portions left in each). These have been sitting around for months so decided better off in my coffers then languishing in the freezer :rotfl: anyway that's my justification
re the hoarder. I work in mental health and I found it really upsetting how the community who took pride in being a community were ostrichising someone who was clearly ill. And felt so happy that at least one person was prepared to help him. Was funny though as clearly he didn't always have the skills to cope with entrenched mental health problems. Just reaching out saved that guy. OCD is so sad its so curable but the fear often prevents people from getting better. Anyhow...
Thanks so much :-) do you know how long a suspension can last? his boss has said he cant see it being too bad thats its not them its the water board.. so cross fingers all will be well... i think its being in limbo and panic mode thats worse.. and OH is fading bless him.. hes such a good worker.. and they do know that, the boss also said hes sorry it happening at such a bad time with the baby, but they just have to do the investigation for thames water...
aww it was sad with the horder, it really wasnt his fault.. i really must watch the end.. i got to about half way.. I hope they ended up helping him clear stuff x0 -

Had a lovely frugal supper tonight - homemade pasta sauce with cheap pasta & it was delicious. Had 3 NSD's this month so far. Set up my personal money saving diary as I'm desperate not to have impulse splurges (my downfall).Debt Free Date [STRIKE]December[/STRIKE] June 2019

Hmm, very strange, don't know why that posted twice!
Having a seat after being in the kitchen all day, I'm going to crochet a dinosaur or two - I promised 2 friends one each for their sons first birthday, just realised that's this month!
That hoarder program sort of scared me, I hoard but I have no order of it like he does, I'm more in the same boat as those on extreme hoarders ... just rooms full of stuff. But I am working on it.Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Hi Lola. You take care huni and happy crocheting. I made a few crochet flowers last night. No idea what I'm going to do with them though.
Ruby hope you're feeling a lot better. The sleep would have done you the world of good. You must have needed it.
Cherryjack just read your post. So sorry you're going through this. What a rotten thing to happen. I'm sure you'll be more than relieved when it's all sorted out.
Aril thanks for the info re £land. Will let OH know.
What a miserable day today. The rain is relentless here.
Went out today and had a lovely catch up with friends. I did end up having a bit of a spend, a lovely soya roasted hazelnut latte in c*sta c*ffee but it was worth every penny to me. ( I rarely treat myself like this these days so it was overdue)
I also bought a smoothies health juice book from the charity shop. I usually google recipes but wanted some recipes to hand and it was only 50p which I thought was a bargain!
Plan tonight to have a long hot bath then watch the film mamma mia which I've recorded. Not seen it yet and heard mixed reviews but I'll have a watch anyway.
Hope everyone is well.

Day at home today so NSD. Going to get kids ready for school, keep on clearing out and tidying up. Stew for tea with whoopsied meat.
Also start of "diet" today, need to lose at least 2 stone. I am using a online diary thing called myfitnesspal because I can also get it on my phone. A few of us where I live are starting our own little weighing-in club on Monday so no one has to pay £5 a week to go to a slimming group. The local pub have kindly let us use their front lounge to meet.
Have a good day everyone, hopefully we've had the worst of this weather now x
Hi NATNAT - Im on myfitnesspal too !!! - I think its FAB!!:j Jan grocery challenge £0 / £220

flip what horrible weather we are having, hope everyone is ok, and have battened down the hatches, so to speak...
one good thing it is mild, so it saves on the heating costs etc...
had some good whoopsies last night in mr t's... had to go and pick youngest up do went in to have a nose... managed to get 12 suasages reduced from £2.19 to 88p, casserole mix pack of fresh veg ( swede, carrots, parsnips, onions 1,5kgs) for 15p a pack, so bought 3. and some other bits reduced... paid just over £2. saved nearly £9.00:beer:
we are now munching through the dreg ends of the christmas stash... eating roast ham on the bone...so this should do us for sandwiches for work tomorrow, and food for when we get home..
havent done any budgets...but will knuckle down on the weekend and start writting down all our spends... our aim is basically to look after the pennies, as the £'s will look after themselves as the saying goes...Work to live= not live to work0 -
That hoarding documentary puts things into perspective. I'm not a hoarder but I do have a DVD, book and paperwork storage issue! I'm following the declutter thread over on Old Style to help me sort it all out. Taking the time to get organised will save me money as it's free "entertainment" and I'll also be able to work through all those DVDs and books that I haven't looked at yet!0
