Well done you, I really wanted one of their diaries but exactly the same I already have a perfectly useable one x

New breadmaker arrived today (last one nearly cause fire, was old) This one does jam, cakes and all sorts. Can't wait to use it although I have 2 whoopsied loaves in the bread bin at the mo.
NSD today, kids were bored so I took them to our local leisure farm which has a massive indoor play area. There was 5 kids there including my 2 (a lot obviously gone back to school) so they had a great time.
We have a season ticket, £105 for 3 of us, which runs out next month, unsure whether to get another, we don't go so much now they're at school and I was working a lot of Saturdays last Summer, although I probably won't be this year. We went 11 times which would have cost us £270.60 full price but I do tend to go there because it's free, not sure what to do at the moment as it's great on rubbish weather days like today when they need a couple of hours run around.
I think my dad actually paid for it last year because I was moaning about money, maybe I should moan again!Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

That is my house! Near Enough!
I was scared the wind would take my roof off or blow a window in and all my junk would b scattered all around the Streets!
Good luck with urn partners job, try and not worry too much about it, u can't change the outcome with worry, so why waste the time (easier said than done! ) plus the stress isn't good for u or bump.
lol im terrified of a home emergency is someone needs to come in hehe.. its not so bad.. but gosh i do have alot of stuff.. the amount of beauty products i used to buy is shocking.. lots of stock now that i will use up and not buy any more... plus the xmas present stuff i got given on top eeekkksss..
Thank you.. your right.. im on this online baby group and some poor woman is due any day and her 28 year old husband is fighting for his life after a stroke... losing a job is nothing in comparison to what that poor lady would be going thru .. i pray they will be ok.seriouslyfrugal wrote: »A small spend day for me as I popped into L**l to get such exciting things as Milk :rotfl:
I have found that there is a shop that are giving away books that people have donated to them in effect its a book swap shop you can give a donation if you like - but don't have to so Ive picked up some books today & will be taking some books into them on friday as part of the big declutter I got talking to one of the volunteers it seems that if the books were not there they would find themselves in ladfill -  ok some of them are " well loved" but Today I picked up the Hairy bikers book , a W.I. book on handmade drinks & a couple of novels

Well, I've currently got HM pea and ham soup in the SC bubbling away, I'm hoping it turns out alright as I've never made it before! got some lovely crusty bread to go with it too, so I hope it's okay.

Just had a light bulb moment. My nearest supermarket is MrS and he's 4.5 miles away. Mr T is further and Mr A is over 10 miles away, so in order to save money on diesel and time I shop at Mr S.
Mr S does a price match on branded items, so by being canny on what I buy, including offers etc I've managed to get a voucher for 9.38p off a 39.23p shop. Eg:- A tin of Heinz soup at Mr A is 50p, its 85p at MrS. I would have normally downshifted and bought MrS own brand for 59p but by buying Heinz I've saved 9p per tin of soup. Kelloggs cornflakes are 1.99 at MrS, whereas they are 3 for 3.00 at MrA, a saving of 2.97. My family will only eat Kelloggs, (I've tried kidding them but it didn't work) So if I am careful (I use the 'Compare Supermarket Prices' website) I save money on fuel, time and still get a reasonable deal.
No doubt many of you have already applied this 'loophole' I just wonder how long it will be before MrS withdraws his brand match policy. If that's the case I will just have to go to MrA on a monthly basis.0 -
Thanks natnat13:T

My mum did this with her sister and they both put money in a pot for every lb they lost. When they got to their goal they had it back to spend on new clothes. I think they put £5 for each lb. Gave them a bit more of an incentive.
Good luck with it.
what a brilliant idea this is, i've got a bit of weight to lose myself and will most definately need a few new things by the end of it, two birds, one stone... like it :TNDS Feb 2012 - 17/17

Bit of a productive day... made lamb mince with onions, carrots and oats too :-) with macaroni pasta, made enough for 2 bowls and an oblong pie dish, tomorrow I'll add mash turnip n sweet potato for topping. Also made semolina, my first time ever, I always thought it would take ages to make, but was less than 10 mins. Tastes amazing although son doesn't like it[IMG][/img]

Cherryjack wrote: »Good morning :-) need to catch up on thread xx had some bad news yesterday.. OH suspended on job pending investigation :-(( so very worried today.. and hes gutted walking around lookin real sorry for himself. Cut a long story short once they have him in and do an investigation all should be ok*prays* (water board tried to say he had left a pollution) but was ok because a lorry was already on site. Does anyone know how long a suspension can last? hes on full pay while they sort things. Not what i need when we are about to have the baby*days away* :-(( Absolutely terrified, cus you dont know how these things are going to map out.
On a frugal note, we are off shopping and want a change.. aldi or lidl?? we normally shop in asda. Thanks everyone xxx
really hope its gonna be ok. I'd try not to fret too much. I had to suspend someone recently but its unlikely that someone would be fired unless it was gross misconduct. More than likely some tight management and some clear guidelines xslowlyfading wrote: »Cherryjack - hope things turn out for the best

mmmmm one of my faves - v jelly now!
managed a NSD again today :T
Also got some liberated "free" food from work - there were a number of food items (pack of frozen bacon, pack of frozen cheese & 2 bags of porridge with a couple of portions left in each). These have been sitting around for months so decided better off in my coffers then languishing in the freezer :rotfl: anyway that's my justification
re the hoarder. I work in mental health and I found it really upsetting how the community who took pride in being a community were ostrichising someone who was clearly ill. And felt so happy that at least one person was prepared to help him. Was funny though as clearly he didn't always have the skills to cope with entrenched mental health problems. Just reaching out saved that guy. OCD is so sad its so curable but the fear often prevents people from getting better. Anyhow...DF as at 30/12/16

Hmm, very strange, don't know why that posted twice!
Having a seat after being in the kitchen all day, I'm going to crochet a dinosaur or two - I promised 2 friends one each for their sons first birthday, just realised that's this month!
That hoarder program sort of scared me, I hoard but I have no order of it like he does, I'm more in the same boat as those on extreme hoarders ... just rooms full of stuff. But I am working on it.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb
