    Hello all
What lovely weather, did a car boot today and the world and his wife were there selling, we were there quite early and they only just squeezed us in. Made £50 so not bad.
Went to Macro after and stocked up on loo roll, washing powder etc so there's that money gone but it was kind of free in a roundabout way!

Feels a bit like when my thumb went and I had to have a cortisone injection in it. I can see the same happening with my toe :(
Anyhoo bought a bowl from Mr As for 97p and I'm now soaking my feet!!! It might help...

Ouch Dizzie .... really sympathise on this one - do you know how you did it / what you did?

Ended up buying a magazine today, when I went to get DGD some medicine from Mr T's. She wanted a comic and I succumbed. What with the cereal and milk I ended up spending £22! eek. The shopping for the week is going through the roof again. Back to basics.
Tidied out my cupboards and had to throw out some packets that had gone mouldy in my cupboard, and some spices too.
Using up a lloyd grosseman mix for tea tonight. Shepherds pie mix, but not going to make a pie, just the mince and some Pasta as DGD has been ill, and thats what she fancies. I will freeze the left overs as I keep leaving food in the fridge and it has been going off before I have got around to eat it. so badly out of the habits lately.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Oh your poor toe! It sounds painful, and nasty. Is it like toothache in your toe IYSWIM? Hope it gets better soon. Mwah, mwah.
    xx

Thanks Sandra. It feels like 10 elephants have stood on it and crushed it...I can bend my other toes but my big toe just won't bend and hurts even more when I try.

Hi Rising. It started aching a few days ago and today it's just got a heck of a lot worse. Dreading trying to walk on it tomorrow.
I need putting in a bag and shaking up :)
OH keeps topping up my water but it's not easing it. Will take a painkiller and see if that helps.
Think it will be an early night for me.
Hope everyone has been enjoying this lovely weather.
What a change it makes when the sun shines :)

i am impressed with myself today!! fixed our leaking washing machine - so glad we dont have to buy a new one!! i say fixed - cleared blockages, worked logically through the possible causes etc but suffering with a chest infection so bed for me soon!!

went in the garage earlier and realised how much stuff we suddenly have in there and no idea what to do with it - doubt its worth doing a car boot but there a couple of good pieces and other stuff thats not so great but still working etc - not sure what to do with it or where to take it.
Frugal living challenge - need to revisit its been.a while !! Need to reduce our debts!!

Had a very busy day in the garden shifting a huge mound of wood chips we were given before Christmas - tennis elbow now flared up :(

Erme - I have enjoyed reading about your adventure with the Kenwood - focus on your achievements with that and aim to make something great with it. I have a Kenwood food processor and use it all the time - its the first kitchen appliance me and OH bought almost 28yrs ago and its still going strong. I wouldnt swap it for anything and when it finally meets its maker I will feel I have lost a limb :rotfl:
    Take care Erme

Awwww sounds horrid Dizzie .... not sure whether to suggest this as I hated having to do it when my foot was bad - but have you tried alternating hot & cold on it?

Can't quite remember why this is supposed to help, think it's something to do with stimulating the area but it does (if you can bear to put the cold on as my feet are always like ice blocks anyway).

Hope it's a bit better tomorrow.

Sandra - Sorry to hear about your dog. Hope you dog gets well soon.

Thanks sweetie. DH started getting in a panic, so I phoned the vets who said they had a slot for today. I should have asked if there was an extra charge for treatment on a Sunday.

The vet combed my dogs tail, looking for mites, and eggs, but could find nothing. Then he had a reef round the anal glands, but again found nothing. So he gave him an injection, which he said would help the fur to grow back (?), and 3 anti-flea tubes of stuff, which I couldn't collect from the pharmacy till I'd paid.

£85!!!!! So I have been even less frugal than I was this morning, but I don't mind because DH must have said to me a million times today "do you think we should take him to the vet", and this evening, he hasn't. :j:j:j

Sorry to hear that your foot is so painful Dizzie Lizzie! Have a look at Gehwol Fusskraft Foot Creams - I use the Blue one. I have been VERY impressed with it. It really helps aching toes and it smells wonderful! Not cheap but a little goes a long way
