Well apart from paying my rent. I have actually managed a no spends day. Stayed close to home and wouldnt let DGD persuade me to go to the shops for Crisps and sweets!.
Have put the rest of the chicken from tonights meal, into a tub in the fridge, and put a date on it! See if that helps remind me to use things up!.
I need some cash tomorrow as I have to pay to park the car while I am at the courts for my DGD's guardianship. I may also need to get some lunch for DGD to take to Nursery, incase I am late. So will need an early nip into the local Mr T express. Fatal. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Ooh Slowly how close is W Day now! Hope the weather continues as it is and it's a beautiful Sunshiny day for you.
Been spending a fair bit with a little Grandson due but it's nice spends if you know what I mean.
Have had a lovely weekend and out everyday, Friday with DD baby shopping, DD and OH yesterday for a drive out to Cleveleys then popped into Blackpool, then today to a carboot with OH then the park with the dog. But during all this the ball of my big toe has been aching so much and now I can't bend my big toe!
Feels a bit like when my thumb went and I had to have a cortisone injection in it. I can see the same happening with my toe
Anyhoo bought a bowl from Mr As for 97p and I'm now soaking my feet!!! It might help...
Hugs to all
x
If the toe is no better in day or two I would make an appointment to see your GP -especially if it "suddenly" came on and you not had it before and you don't remember injuring it.
Does your foot/toe area look red or warm to the touch at all,the area could be inflamed? sesamoiditis and (hate to tell you) gout have similar warning signs like this. You may have even broken/fractured a small part of the bone or (don't laugh) you could have "sprained"the area from the amount of walking you did by over extending the 1st toe. -look up turf toe!
Regardless of what I am saying don't ignore it,get it seen to- your body is telling you there is something wrong and your feet are pretty important and if we don't look after them now, when things go wrong, they really mess up other areas of our life.:o
Hope it helps and I hope you feel better soon.Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

dizzy_lizzie wrote: »More4Less I've had a look at the cream you suggested too. It's not so much as aching as an excruciating joint kind of pain iykwim. Do you think the cream would still help?
x
Yes, I used it for joint pain and found it excellent. It does seem to penetrate right down the joints when you use it, although I cant see joints mentioned in the literature. All I can see is .....
The natural essential oils, invigorating camphor, and cooling menthol relives sore, aching feet immediately. Also contains rosemary, mountain pine and lavender. - Strengthens and revitalises the feet. - Massage 1-2 cm of the cream into feet daily - including between the toes. - Natural strength for feet: tired feet are given a new lease of life.0 -

I understand the females that my Mum called "Ladies of the Night", can get that for just a few hours work, if they're good enough!

Thank you for all your kind wishes for my dog - his name is Billy. We haven't been decorating, or anything like that, and the hair loss is from rear end to tip of tail, either side of the centre, length-wise.
He seems quite happy, mind you, I'd be happy if I'd spent £85 on a massage!! Billy is a happy soul, especially if there's food about!
Had a super day with my mate. We went to the Strand Palace Hotel for lunch, and then booked seats for next month to see Top Hat. The sun shone all day, and we walked up the Strand, through Trafalgar Square Green Park, where we sat for about an hour, and saw all manner of clothing, from men in shorts, and nowt else, to folk in boots and thick coats!
We then walked down The Mall, back to St Pauls, had a coffee and then walked to Liverpool Street. My feet were killing me, but I plodded on, with a stoic expression, and was pleased I did. I reckon I walked 5 miles.

I was thinking along the same lines as Sandra :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What do you need it for ????
Went to a doggy rescue yesterday. I would like a smallish dog that I can walk with my dodgy back. The idea being that walking is the only exercise I can do safely and I am more likely to walk more if I walk a dog.
It would have to get on with cats and chooks and kids but the kids are great with all animals so not much of an issue.
So with this in mind, DH fell in love with a Rottweiler ............ not exactly something I could walk myself :rotfl::rotfl:. Such a hard decision as I could take them all home. There was an 8yr old GS !!!!! that was a plodder and so gentle and you just know she is too old for anyone to home but we really couldn't have that size (huge) in the house, have contemplated getting DH to build a kennel next to the foster cat pen
So heartbreaking
Rising, what are you looking for?? I could recommend several
Must dash as its DH BD today so must lavish him with some attention :rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to say I have had two eggs off the chooks already :T0 -
Hi all,
I hope it's a good Tuesday for everyone with pet, health and money worries.
I'm frugally flawed this month so far. I've had to re-new AA membership £90, pay £50 vet bill, £300 dentist, £50 hen night entertainment contribution, MOT and we're not even half-way through the month. One investment/indulgence, I've bought a halogen oven after researching and finding a good deal. Our oven is ancient and I can't see what temperature it's on anymore because the markers have worn away so it's a hit and miss way of cooking. I can't afford to replace it yet. Has any one else got a halogen oven? I've love to know how useful you find it and any tips you could pass on.
We've got a house full again this weekend DD1, fiance and babies so I must get organised with menu planning to save on food shopping. I've place an AF order which should arrive today which will help a bit but I'll probably end up giving some away to the kids to take home knowing me.
I'm going to walk to town today, frugal and fit is the aim today.

Morning all....
Yeah ate well yesterday :j...
Anyhow this is my 2nd attempt at making meringues in the kenwood (good enough reason to get a kenwood chef off ebay cheap IMO LOL)
Best Kenwood chef meringue recipe eva!!! (adapted)
egg whites (1 per oz of icing sugar)
Icing sugar (1oz per 1 egg white)
Method
Put egg whites and icing sugar in K bowl. attach whisk attachment. Beat on slow speed gradually increasing to 5 or 6 till reasonable peaks form.....
Spoon on to baking trays lined with silicone liners (£shop) using two spoons (you don't need a piping bag) Put in oven at 120c for approx 1 hour. then turn off oven and leave in oven for 1/2 hour till oven cooled till dried out. (I have a fan oven. Don't know about gas sorry)
