Hi everyone, not sure if this has been posted yet but I have only just found it The Jam Labeliser - its free, you can design labels for jars and stuff (I have not actually used it yet though so dont know what they come out like)

Sorry I am not updating, my exams start on Friday and I am STRESSED!

Ohhhhh love the labels link:D thanks! Best of luck with the exams.....

I've been feeling so cross about this week's Superscrimpers programme - quite apart from those BRAND NEW JEANS being destroyed to construct a rather dubious bag. What about that friendship bracelet? It was described as a 'wonderful gift for a friend'! You are supposed to go round, chopping the ribbons out of all your clothes..... Cue entire contents of my wardrobe falling to the floor!!!!! Not even vaguely practical ...And that bracelet was just not nice, well maybe a three year old would find it chic:)

:rotfl:I've got loads of those ribbons in my sewing box - I just don't know what to do with them (but won't be making friendship bracelets!) - I hate them & they come off as soon as I decide to keep whatever it is I've bought!

Totally agree the jeans looked brand new to me too!
At lunch today a colleague was just saying her Dad who worked for a very well known bespoke gentleman's outfitters many years ago, always said that those with the money(and he was talking about the rich & famous as many went into his shop ) who wanted a present for someone would buy a small item for less amount and those who had very little, who would always spend a lot more money on a gift.

I've heard so many stories like this :) to the car break in & hope it gets fixed soon.

i've had a very frugal day, it did take alot of thinking about tho, i cooked all the stuff in my fridge that needed used, then i wnet to town, lodged a cheque, posted a letter and returned some impulse buy clothes to tesco and never spent a penny, but i had to talk myself out of going to poundland for a drink and chewits for the child, then i had to talk myself out of buying myself fudge when i passed thorntons, and i also had to talk myself out of having a wee nosey round the clothes shops just incase.

dinner is creamy chicken and gammon (like pie filling) with mash and veg using up random fridge items

    Hi all,
I've fallen out of love with Superscrimpers this series. The only bit that I've found useful is the ideas for using up food offered by one of the men on the programme ( I can't remember his name.) I had a go at making butter out of left over double cream and it worked quite well although I had to enlist DH for some shaking. I've frozen lime segments ready to put in my V&T too instead of leaving them in the fridge to dry out. That works really well.
It's been a bit of a spendy month so far and it will probably get worse what with MOT and a couple more busy weekends of visitors. I did remember to use my A**i £5 off today. ;)

I agree with you Traveldolly the frozen lime/lemon was a very useful tip, just right for my Bacardi and Cokes!!

I can't believe I've spent about £120 on goodies for the kenwood chef .....

And most of that was this week .....

Just transferred some money from easy access savings to current account so I can go buy some wool for my crochet....

On the positives...have reduced nic conc again (only 9 days though)...sure the nic thing is now psychological but still... Sure I could vape (e-cig) no nicotine and be satisfied LOL but after my falls with chemist NRT not willing to try it :(

Erme - that's a lot of money to spend on accessories  let's hope you put them to good use! :)

    Happy Friday everyone :j

I'm so glad it's the end of the week, I'm so tired. I need to have an early night tonight, I'm feeling sleepy already :o I've got my final dress fitting tomorrow  I'm hoping my dress looks alright!

Ohhhh I'm sure it will look lovely :) - not long to go now:D

Well, been up since silly o'clock again - couldn't keep my eyes open last night and ended up in bed (and zonked out straight away) at 8pm:o. Did manage to sleep until 3am (7 hours is really long for me) but have been up for ages *sigh*.

Might have to have a nap this afternoon or I'll end up doing the same thing tonight.:(

Not sure what I'm going to get up to today ...... just done my "round down" to the new grocery pot - another £4.85 bringing me up to just over £30 ..... getting there!

One more month to go and I'll have the fuel pot in advance too!:j

However, am a bit p'd off as I have my cc min payment set up on d/debit (just in case;)) but do pay in full each month - obviously as the date's on Monday, they've called the d/debit the day I've set up the full payment to go out ..... so that's just under £17 I wasn't expecting to come out my account:mad:.

It annoys me that they call them so early - is it 3 working days before they're paid?

If anyone knows, that would be great as I seem to keep "falling foul" of this.
