Happy Friday everyone :j
I'm so glad it's the end of the week, I'm so tired. I need to have an early night tonight, I'm feeling sleepy alreadyI've got my final dress fitting tomorrow  I'm hoping my dress looks alright!
I got a liquidiser, dough hook, mini chopper, juicer and super slicer/shredder type thing...One juicer was duff though so that's in effect 2 juicers (one yet to come) and a cover....( £5)
Know the liquidiser and dough hook came to £40....can't recally how much the other stuff was....think the mini chopper was about £18 and the super slicer about £25 also the duff juicer £25 - think the other juicer was £25 or so (maybe less)...
All I would get with a new KC would be the liquidiser and dough hook. So saved there(KC cost £24)....Posh new juicer is £100 (from Kenwood) though worth the money apparently but I can't justify £100 on a juicer right now
I'd have to check the other two parts to see what price they are new on the kenwood spares site. Think they are about £60 or so.
So excluding liquidiser and dough hook have spent £80 which you couldn't even get the juicer for (or you'd get just the juicer for)..
I think it hath a name - the flu LOL
Will sell what I can from the kitchen at some point. Have been keeping an eye on prices....so glad I didn't bid on the coffee grinder though :)3. Have had a budget for all this £20 bid per part plus postage (£4-6). Less for the cover obviously..(was cheaper than a lot of them.)
So wreckless yet restrained. Have often been outbid. The only thing I think I might have gone a bit ott on was the liquidiser but that was one of the first things I got so learnt...

Well, been up since silly o'clock again - couldn't keep my eyes open last night and ended up in bed (and zonked out straight away) at 8pm:o. Did manage to sleep until 3am (7 hours is really long for me) but have been up for ages *sigh*.
Not sure what I'm going to get up to today ...... just done my "round down" to the new grocery pot - another £4.85 bringing me up to just over £30 ..... getting there!
Me too woke up at 3.30 am and decided to go to Mr T at 5.30:eek: Now feels like mid afternoon. Maybe I will sleep through the rugby:rotfl:
What exactly is 'rounding down' if you dont mind me asking and how does it work?? Just intriguedBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

:rotfl:Glad I'm not the only one with odd sleeping patterns .... not dressed yet:o as been catching up on a load of threads and thinking I may just head off for a nap shortly!
Rounding down was *I think* suggested by someone on here .... (sorry I've forgotten who:o)
Basically, you pick a day of the week (mine's a Saturday) and log into your account and "round down" the balance to the nearest £10 and transfer the difference to a savings account / pot etc.
Some weeks it's been £8 or £9, but others only £1 or £2 and I've never missed it:) - I've put just over £30 away in the 4/5 weeks I've been doing it (it will still take me ages to get the grocery pot to an "advance" stage as need around £140 but it seems a relatively painfree way of doing it!).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

The final KC accessory arrived yesterday and after some teething probs is working fine. It's an A795 (or something)....going for about £70 on KR and I got it for £18 (inc p+p)...the posh juice extractor is going for about £100 .... and the slicer about the same as the a795....
So yeah sorted I think...Made £10 on ebay last night - will post Monday. Just junk...listing rest of stuff (kitchenware) end of month when folk get paid so it goes for silly prices....People compete on the bidding when they get paid I find and things just go up and up.:D...Not least at weekends LOL.
But in terms of getting me cooking for self again the KC has been priceless. I wasn't cooking for self for about 6 weeks maybe longer. My diet consisted of tinned macaroni and meatballs and like the odd can of herring and a proper lunch and breakfast but still ....often hungry and wasting monies late at night because I was so hungry...
So on tuesday the cookbooks will come out and I'll do a proper menu plan....Made parsnip soup and bread in the KC this week as well :j...
For someone like me who needs to eat a lot of unprocessed food things like a a food proccessor or Kenwood Chef are essential. Also a juicer or something for those extra vits. The food processor I've used 2-3 times a week for about 18 months and yes it wasn't cheap but it's still in good working order. The juicers I just tend to kill the motors of
. It makes such a huge difference to good mental health as well as being cheaper often.
Fridge and freezer clean out tomorrow :j and posting ebay....Yay

:hello: morning everyone!
Me and Mr SF have to go and do some food shopping today. Isn't the weather gorgeous? The sun is shining and there's no wind, so I'm hoping to get a chance to sit out in it at some point
Have a good Sunday everyone!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Slowly Only a few sleeps left til the big day
Mr PIC fetched our chickens yesterday :j we now have three beautiful brown ladies residing in our garden.
This has kept all the cats quiet as they have all just sat and stared at them with a confused look on their faces. On the plus side it is keeping the foster cats amused as they have something to watch all day
We had our first egg this morning and was told it would take a couple of weeks for them to start laying so it was a little surprising :rotfl:
Off to sit in the sun.........hope you are to

HI all
,
I have been lurking and taking inspiration from you all. Yesterday I made a spreadsheet to keep a better eye on the budget and feel optimistic that I can take more control. Things aren't too bad but like many I often have no idea where money has leached off too, so hope joining in may help me focus a bit more.
Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing but I would love to join you for the rest of the year:).
Hugs xMoving towards a life that is more relaxed and kinder to the environment (embracing my inner hippy:D) .:j0
