Like Hellyboo I didn't know Diva, but I realised the other day that the receipe for green tomato chutney that I got from an mse forum search in september was hers, I hope no one minds. So my chutney is called Diva Chutney. (I hope I haven't offended anyone)

I lost my OH in March 2010 after a cancer battle, he was 36. I was struck by the comment on the remembrance antiques roadshow 'it's the ones that are left behind' the tears flowed after that! It is so true and that's what today is about for Diva's family and friends, a chance for a final goodbye. But you will always feel their love in your heart, that never dies.

Much love and light to you all today xxx
  • Bathrrom done, probably only need 10 mins in boys room but DS2 is having a moment so I'll do it later. WM and TD to feed...
    So, there are these boys,

    Hugs to all today xx

I've taken 3 bags to the CS; paid a bill at the bank (and picked up some money bags so that I can gather all the loose change cluttering up the house and bank it); then shopped at Mr Ts.

So I think I deserve a coffee now. Anyone want to join me? xx

  • Ooh I'd forgotten about this, I entered a nail art competition (my 'hobby' of sorts :o ) and the voting closes at midday today. I'm just about in the top ten so if any lovely flyladies have 2 seconds to pop to facebook and vote I'd really appreciate it! All you have to do is 'like' the picture http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=218104854929268&set=a.218103101596110.53175.130077290398692&type=3&l=62dae2b85d&theater

  • Hi there, I'm new here but have been looking through the thread and would love to join in please. I can't do much today as have to help at our local school this afternoon and it's already almost 11.30 but as from Monday I'd like to jump in.

I am married, have 2 children and my house is unorganised chaos. I really want to get it sorted but don't know where to start so I think doing something each day will really help me.

I look forward to getting to know you all; I won't be posting much but would greatly benefit from the HHC and HHI etc to know that others are working at the same time as me - daft isn't it!!!

    Afternoon

Thinking of Diva, feeding the cats in heaven "at least once".

furball - I found a small picture on google images, saved it to my documents folder then went into user CP at the top of the page, edit avator, browse, then clicked on the saved picture and saved it. HTH

I've made some mince pies and coffee traybake. Vacuumed through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. One load of washing out, it rained at first (why do weatherpeople tell lies?) but it's brighter now.

*Nods understandingly* I get like that quite often, too; I write a post, then delete it instead of posting, thinking to myself "they don't want to read that rubbish":o

Welcome! And no, it's not daft, it's the whole point of the thread - I even ask if anyone fancies doing a HHSomething while I do my HHYoga, to motivate myself to do it, as being here on my own isn't very motivating.;)

Talking of which, HHYoga is the nearest I'm likely to get to ME-time.:( It's still taking an aaaage to do anything, as I'm still having to work one-handed.:(

There's no spare bed here, thank the gods, so no bedlinen to change; and the floors are all done.

Plan today is that I'll do the sink and loo and the tiles I can get to, then get ahead with the regular weekend job of PC maintenance (defragging etc) plus the weekly check for planning applications on pubs for CAMRA, and we'll do the bath and remaining tiles tomorrow, when Mr LW is here to move the bath lift out for me. We have an over-the-bath shower, so there's no separate shower tray, but there is an acrylic screen to do - again, easier to do this with the bath lift out of the way.:o

I have my purple skirt on, plus the shawl I have to throw round my shoulders if I'm chilly (easier than a cardigan at the mo) is also purple.;)

I think Mr LW wants me to go to the F&V market with him tomorrow - we need to get a sack of spuds, and the easiest way to get it from the market stall to the car is on my lap in the wheelchair.:D So that's another reason to try and get ahead of myself today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
