    Hacked off with Sainsbury's,
Kaz, Sainsbugs p***ed me off big time about a year ago with their attitude to wheelchair-users; I haven't been back since.

    Listy update:
    Wednesday - Kitchen

    Level One
    Clear and wipe surfaces DONE
    Level Three
Clean cupboards, drawers and kickboards (outside) DONE
Clean tiles or washable walls DONE

    Declutter mission

Sort out a cupboard or drawer - do you actually use everything in it? - what can you get rid of? - what's being saved because you might use it when you're 102?

Thursday - Master Bedroom, landing and stairs

    Level Two
    Dust all fluffy surfaces
    DONE
    Level Three
    Clean skirting boards
DONE all that's not behind furniture
    Check smoke alarms
    DONE

I was going to also tidy the drawer to the left of the sink (the most likely place to need a poke through) but suddenly came over very, very fatigued, (as in nearly keeled over) so having a wee time-out first. Tbh though, I don't expect to find anything in it that's not needed.:o We're actually pretty good about not hoarding rubbish.;) Oh, and I feel like I'm 102 already!:rotfl:

Next week's Flying will be ...er... interesting; Mr LW is on call 24/7 for the next week (they do this in turns) and is also wfh on Monday, on Early shift. We'll need to pop to the Surgery then Superdrug Monday afternoon, for a supply of morphine, so Monday I shall get probably little/no Flying done.

Then Thursday lovely little Dilly Doglet is coming to stay for 4 days.:T

So it might have to just be Level One next week.

Cally's quite right - it's been lovely. I've had a line out too! I have been round my town with the kids from school (my Y5s) looking a How life changed in Victorian times. Wearing new (to me but gorgeous, Bally, leather, hardly worn) ankle boots was probably not a good idea. Waved to mate in Clarks and said hello to lots of people who realised I was with 27 kids and didn't stop to chat :rotfl: Was a vulunteer for this BTW. Managed to nip to PO at lunchtime - 3 ebays gone *fling* - and have bids on 4 more. Clearly, if you list it, they will bid *giggles at own wit*
Anyway I ironed the bit of washing I had out yesterday last night, so that's been put away and I'll make a start with todays. Jacket spuds in the oven.

Can I joined the hacked of with sains club?

Asked for a vat receipt (beginning of Oct actually). They wrote it out of my sight, I didn't read it and they had calculated 20% of total. This was wrong - you actually multiply by 1.2 anyway went back another day with the calc written down - and they wouldn't do it because they didn't understand it (well I don't understand electricity but I still plug stuff in) so I had to traipse back a third time after a series of e mails (where aspersions were cast on their customer service) and got it. Was for work. The county council will not process receipts unless they're VAT receipts because it can be claimed back.

Mothercare, on the other hand, pressed a button on the till and printed me one off no problem.

Cally~~ I was in poundland! I would hate to be pigpen or mumto2 /3 / 5 or what ever number ....5 pencil cases x £6 (say) = £30 that is before you put anything in them, I thought pencil cases were about £1 to £2, anyway crossed off list now.

LW~ that is the 1st time I have been in that one, my 'home one' is the Watford one, as it is on my way to London and I buy petrol there as generally it is 3p to 5p per litre cheaper than anywhere else, mainly because on the other side of the roundabout there is a shell and asda stations.....

Any way spoke to their Head office and it seems both girls according to them are wrong, use your nectar card this time to get points, give it 24 hours, then you can spend all of them again in the same store! I won't have time to go back this week, but might drive over next week to spend the points, other wise it is not cost effective. Must say car parking is free for 3 hours there, rest of MK you have to pay.

Seems I have sold something on ebay ;):rotfl::rotfl:

Little girls persents wrapped up in different paper and mark with her name so AGS does not lay 'claim to them' as he tried to last year!

OK, I've tidied that kitchen drawer. As predicted, there was nothing in it that needed turfing out, but it's all nicely straightened out, where it had got a tad untidy.

It's got things like matches, Klippits, dryer balls, Mr LW's marmalade-making apron, my cuff protectors for when I'm wearing tops with dangly sleeves, spare scouring pads, and Mr LW's lamp-onna-headband thingy in it.:o

Kaz I can park for 3 hours for free in Central MK with my Blue Badge.;)

LW ~ I know, motorbikes are free as well, I paid £2.50 I think for 2 hours at CMK itself, the parking wardens 'hunt' in packs of threes, really is not worth risking it........and not paying.......hence the reason I so rarely these days go there, Morrisons are better, plus I can get the cat's food from near there and wander around the poundland type shop forget what it is called now, and all from one car park.

    Dusting is done

Just out of interest when do you leave buyer feedback on e bay? I do it as soon as they have paid. No, to clarify, as soon as I have received cleared payment.

  • Oooh, it's a bit nippy this afternoon!

Had Minion's company (theoretically) today because the school closed for each kid to come in for 5 minutes to agree a target for the next term with a random member of staff.

However, having booked a relatively early appointment (10am) she caught up with some of her friends and got waylaid in a new cafe/bakery that cooks american style pancakes from fresh. So she came back in roughly 17 minutes before I had to go out to be somewhere at 2.

    Today I have

Scrubbed the shower room floor AGAIN.
Cleaned the rest of the room.

    WM on

Minion is unwittingly getting indoctrinated with cool as she plays on her laptop - I've got Tom Waits playing and she is nodding her head to the rhythm. (and probably mentally working out the drum patterns for her lessons)

Eventually, I am going to get up and put a cheat dinner in the oven - chicken kievs and packet roasties. CBA to do anything more sophisticated.

Oh, LW and Kazwookie, I hate Sainsbury's attitude as well. In my previous flat, Sainsbury was the only local supermarket and I flipped out in the end about the crap on every corner, the cages abandoned as staff wander off for chats (leaving chilled foods at room temperature in the process), extra displays halfway along the aisles on both sides and opposite pillars, etc. They didn't really care - even when I pointed out that putting 4 displays in one section meant that there was actually insufficient fire access, as the gap you had to walk through to get to the till was only 3 foot wide out of a 7 foot aisle and once you added in the massive queue of people, two displays after the tills, the back of the fag counter AND a 8 foot high wall of beer crates taking the other side of the tills down to a trolley and no more, there was no way anyone would get out in the event of fire. [/breathe]

No other supermarket deliberately dumps their !!!! in a way planned to make it impossible to move freely. Not even Tesco or ASDA. They know it breaks Health and Safety as well as access laws. But they don't care.

I need to drag Minion out to do a bit of shopping, but I think I'll try and delay it until the weekend. She can tidy her pit if she wants to escape from the house :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I always leave it once they have left feedback for me, as that means the item has arrived and they are happy with it!
