Good evening
Well, I managed the 'me' time anyway!I had the morning off, and DH treated me to breakfast at the Wetherspoons in town :T We also managed to get his mum's xmas pressie, and look around to get some ideas for me.
I was then working this afternoon. I had a settling in session for my new little girl (15 months) and that went well. She starts on Wednesday (just 1 day a week), and all contracts etc are signedthe 2 girls that were supposed to start on Monday, will not start now 'til january (if at all), which is good, 'cos nothing has been signed, and i don't even know their names!!
DH is working (again ) but plans to come back early in the morning, and start the painting the window frames in the LR :j I will catch up with the lists at the weekend (xmas shopping tomorrow, hopefully) as I don't too much homework to do.0 -
GWS lil_me and Greenbee.
:rotfl: @ boddy's odd purple socks. I bet you have another pair like that, too....:D
Bathroom part done, as detailed earlier, and CAMRA stuff done ahead of time, so bath and remaining tiles will be cleaned tomorrow when Mr LW takes the bath lift out of the way.:o
He wants us to play Skyrim now, so I'd better trot off like a good little wifey and do that.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all :hello:
LW - thanks for the understanding, I get cross with myself for being so silly.
Toots - thank you for the hug and the approval for the Diva Chutney
Dustykitten - I will try and post more (an early new years resolution!), even if I just post the lists with the tasks I've completed crossed off:o
Not done any flying since I got home from work, although I have my ironing basket sat on the sofa next to me! I will get it done tonight as I hate the ironing eating into my weekend.
Hugs, spoons, love & light x0 -

A level biology was a long time ago, so can someone tell me how the antibiotic cream I put in my eye 10 minutes ago is now making my mouth taste horrible? It seems to be coming down the back of my throat. Its vile0
-
Greenbee that sounds very odd - my A level bio was just as long ago and we certainly did not cover that!
Found this on the web:
Yes eyedrops can drain down your throat there is a tube that connects your tear duct to your nasal passage called the nasolacrimal duct.
Hence you get a snotty nose when you cry as excess tears drain away down the nasolacrimal duct to your nose.
The head has a lot of connections to it's various parts such as the tear duct, throat, nose mouth and even the ears are connected to your throat by the eustachian tube.
Excess eye drops went down your tear duct and drain from your nasal passage down your throat but please do not worry since the manufacturers are well aware this is a very real possibility of happening and likely happens often.
The small amount is not going to do any harm else it would be too dangerous to allow people to put these eye drops in.
It is unlikely that anything toxic that could harm you would be allowed also to be put in your delicate eyes in any case. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Greenbee my biology course wasn't that far back, IIRC tears drain into your throat (I think the drain is called the nasal) and that goes into your throat so yep tasting eye meds is normal. Hope you're better soon
Thanks Dusty I will try a bit
I've been resting tonight since making dinner, but I must potter at least to get the dailies done or it'll be weeks of catching up, an assignment needs completing too so needs must but I'm sure my body will tell me if I overdo it. Morning all
I've never risen early for such an extended period before, actually I haven't adjusted to the clocks going back. Very odd as in previous years I've struggled in the dark even with the wake up light which at the moment is redundant.
At a Governor Conference all day today. Not really in the mood but the cakes are always good there!
Flying will be a WM load and my ironing tonight. Think I'll find my list for what is left tomorrow.
Have a good day all.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
