I like their sausage rolls, but these and other stuff seems to be left to go luke-warm (at best), after 2pm or so..
Then it becomes very un-appetising, and possibly a health risk?
And as for what they dare call a cornish pasty? per-lease!

Greggs don't sell 'Hot' sausage rolls etc - they sell 'Freshly-baked' ones - there's no heating in the cabinets, just lighting (so my local shop told me). It's something to do with VAT!
You just need to get there as they come out the oven. :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -
I used to like there food, then I developed taste buds.:)Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0

The only thing that would affect VAT is whether they are eating in or taking. Eating in means VAT must be charged.
But you can't beat a nice warm sausage roll -- with chips & beans, takes me back a few years0 -

You are correct that VAT must be charged on all food that is eaten in, but there is a differentation when it comes to takeaways.
VAT must be charged on hot takeaways but not on cold food or drink items, and if an item such as a sausage roll is hot simply because of it being recently removed from the oven then no VAT need be charged.0
