    Hosiery I use in the garden to tie up roses and things to stakes (they get battered by the wind). I've also filled up old tights with odd socks (the ones that had their mate eaten by the machine!) to make a draught-stopper for the doors.

    Putting your hand inside a sock makes a good duster...

    You DO all sound like the nice folks on the OS board though! But none the worse for that. Just think of all you are doing to help the environment!
  • I cut dishwasher tabs in half before I use them now - half works just as well as a whole unless you're trying to clean caked on pans etc!

    i mix my laundry powder with soda crystals
    i have own brand coffee in a branded jar
    ditto shampoo and conditioner
    i always squash the loo rolls makes em last loads longer
    thats only some of mine

    I think she means squeeze the tube of toilet roll before putting it on the holder as then when you pull only a few sheets come off at a time so the kids dont waste loads!;)

  • one washing tablet in the clothes works as well as 2!

    Water down all conditioners washing liquids etc!

    And hubby wears his jeans for at least a week yuk! dont like that one!
