First Plus in default of FSA ppi agreement

Been on to FO this morning to see if they can chase up FP on paying out my refund, they said they could but it would reset the start date and could have to wait a further 6-8 weeks, some use they are.
Then contacted FP and managed to get hold of a manager, now theres a first, who has promised, as I am an urgent case having already waited 12 weeks due to their error, will call me back this afternoon with a payment date.
Fingers crossed, wonder if this has anything to do with me e-mailing their CEO.
Well done, keep us posted this afternoon.0 -
Postman just been with envelope from First Plus, cheques I thought, no just another letter stating they are dealing with my refund as a matter of priority. :rotfl:0

Although i have sympathy with anyone regarding FP,and i hate this company with a vengeance, but when the regulators cannot make them jump, there is nothing anyone can do but get it round to anyone who will listen..the press or Watchdog is your best bet,the excuses are unbelievable.
Myself and Niggly have helped posters on here with ppi claims from FP, with working figures out, what to write for their claim, what to do when they were not upheld and with our help got them a win,we alas, cannot make them pay out any faster, there is nothing any poster on here can do,even the man himself Martin Lewis has no hold over all these banks that are delaying payments etc etc,FP are not the only ones who are stalling regarding the payouts, everyone deserves their money back,FP are not alone in this blatant "we will do what we like when we like" mentality when it comes to payouts.
Write to your MP and get the message across that you will not accept this blatant disregard of regulator rules.
Thank you for your post so I am right then this is a bigger farce than any Alan Ayckbourn play, poor old naïve me believed that when I signed agreeing to my settlement figure and time scale I would get my money now it seems that it could be sometime never. My worst fear have be realized
I friendly disagree with your comment that Mr Lewis has no hold no over the banks he has far more hold over them than I do shouting down a telephone line to some poor clueless clerk. He talks and the media will cast and ear in his direction, they will not even give us the time of day.
I ask you Is it not one thing to mislead people with the ppi insurance and then sit back and say go on try to get your money back . But a completely a different thing to agree repayment terms in writing and then default on them? (ok it's not that different but you get my point) If we let this slide without people in power waging disproving figures then we had descended into a state of total banking lawlessness. What is to say that when we go to withdraw our savings the banks will not just say sorry you can't have it sue us? If Banks are really this corrupt (and we have all joked they are ) then why are any of us even putting our money in them ...oh yes I forget companies won't pay our wages in cash any more ….
This then means things in writing mean nothing and I may as well forget my cheque and get back on with my life before I even new I had been sold a worthless ppi or could claim it back. I think what Mr Lewis does is great he has a strength and drive I marvel at I am grateful for his efforts... But if what you say is true that even though I have won I must still fight and fight then I wish I have never seen this site because the past year has just been far to stressful and I have no stomach left to fight again. This is a game for those with a stronger nerve and greater grip on reality than me I’m afraid. Yes I can twitter and blog and add comments on here and hope for the best but your post has woken me from my naïve dream into a nightmare world where:- all is lies and we are but the tools of a corrupt and hidden agenda which operates above the law. David Icke is right after all ...bless him we all own him an apology...I'm still not sure about the lizard menPlease do not think amersall that at any point am i having a go at you what you have said is i dare say correct, it is just frustrating at this point in time to here it

digitaltrance,I appreciate what you are saying and agree with you,i know you are not having a go,my FP claim took over 2 years,i know what it is like to wait ...and wait,so i can sympathise as i said before.
Martin lewis can get to the media and tell it as it is,but the banks wont jump, even the FOS and FSA are not getting to grips with this,if you complain now to FOS regarding the delay, your claim will be set back, the regulators put these rules in and even they cannot do jack!.
They extended the claim time due to the JR and the banks have cocked a hoop at even this, they are just playing silly beggers.0 -
I dont like the sound of this. i have just sent of my claim to First Plus and hoped for a prompt response. as usual in the world of first plus nothing is what is seems. good luck to all those who are waiting and i hope something happens soon!!0
